How to choose an affiliate programm for IT company

Hi! I represent the software development company Devart which develops the tools for .NET, Oracle, MySQL, etc. It's site is devart.com Could you advise in what a way can we sell our products with the help of affiliates? Is it reasonable to deal with affiliate networks such as clickbank.com, cj.com and others, or may be you'll advise another way of selling with affiliate programms. May be its better to create your own affiliate programm on the site, but the question is how to get different bloggers know about our affiliate programm.
May be you'll advise something to us. Thanks.

I am an affiliate of Avangate Affiliate Network. They feature software like yours.
I know that Commission Junction & Share-A-Sale have other vendors like you on their network.
I'm sure there are others out there.

It's another way to increase sales - helps you to find key affiliates who know how to market your wares and make sales. You may even try a WSO on this forum to attract warriors who have experience marketing your line of products and try that angle as well. There is also a section on the forum to hire warriors with special skills or experience such as marketing your type of products on line.

If you're going to start your own in-house affiliate program, then this forum could help you develop a group of interested affiliates with Warrior Forum education and experience:

Thank you for such a detailed description of the situation. I think I'll start with monitoring the affiliate networks wich you've mentioned: Avangate Affiliate Network, Commission Junction and Share-A-Sale. Also I've read about Amazon affiliate programm. How do you think - can it be devoted to products of our company?

      Amazon.com: sql software

Looks like there's about 2,956 results from the sql query alone.

The answer to all of your questions is to see where you can get either more sales or more profit and which is more important.

I am unaware of any policies that restrict products from being featured on multiple platforms, so why limit yourself to this or that? Except that I would try one affiliate network first for a time before trying another one and make sure you transition your affiliates with you - one vendor I sold for transitioned to another network and I am still yet to update my sites with the new links (now I use link redirects). And in this case, I would supply all affiliates in one network with direct "commissionable" links when I intend to move to another network.

So I would advise that you also develop an in-house affiliate program and advise your new affiliates of your intended move and allow your affiliates to "smartly" link to your wares without fear of future network moves. Just my opinion based on my own experience.

Thanks. Your post is very usefull for me I think that I'll start with amazon affiliate programm and start develop in-house affiliate programm. Frankly speaking now I can't imagine how to develop in-house programm. We have a system of discounts for people how tweets us of make a post in their blogs - devart.com/highfive. But as I have understood you - we need to create an affiliate programm which will work in such a way -
When a blogger, for example, will use our link for our download page, and people will come and purchase a software - he will get a percent of selling. And it should be our own affiliate programm which then we can use at different affiliate programms. Tell me if I havn't understood the core.
