If your site has only generated $24 then you may have trouble selling it. You could always try putting it on for say $50

Hey, I own a few cars and I want to sell one.

How much should I sell the car for?

Right. You're asking, "wait a minute! What kind of car is it? What year? Make? Model? Condition? Problems or issues?

How can I quote this guy a price for his car when I know nothing about it?

The same logic applies to you. You have a website to sell that's made about $24 in its lifetime. Now you want to sell it.

How could anybody quote you a price when you give no information about the price?

However, as a general rule, you can get away with selling a site for 12 X the monthly earnings of the site. So if your site makes about $1 per month, then around $12 or $13 would be a reasonable sale price.

In your case, the income you claim may or may not be consistent or even growing. Therefore, you might not even be able to sell the site based upon "the formula".

There's a lot of factors that go into how much a site is "worth". You can hype all the bells and whistles and try to get the price you want or you can leave it to the market: people will pay what they're going to pay based upon what it's worth to them.

Short of any new information and specifics about your site, no credible person would be able to give you a ball park range for your site as is.

Take time to evaluate your site using the below link. This is the link most of us older sellers at sitepoint marketplace (now flippa) uses before.

Have few articles on ezinearticles.com and have also posted 7 unique keyword articles on the blog. like you said GMD, the sale came last month..but not that constant. but i needed to sell flip this site off. I just want to know how much i should set it on flippa. Reserve Price, Starting Bid,Buy It Now and the Gross & Net profit. how do i set these?

First, I'd refer you here as to the Flippa specifics:

      https://flippa.com/help/sell

Second, you can make a little money here in the short term, or much more money in the long term.

If you sell your site now -- considering that it has made some income but nothing consistent over time -- you're going to likely not sell the site to maybe get a bite in the $50 to $150 range. MAYBE. With any true auction, it's not possible to say.

If you're interested in making more money why not continue to work the site that you're planning on selling? Improve it. Get more income from it.

In the short term, you get the added income from the site as you work it. Longer term (say next 6 months) you build up a consistent income track record that you can hype on Flippa. Even marginal sites that have income you can count on can command a nice premium.

A 3 month old site with just 1 sale unfortunately won't get very much. I agree with GMDs estimation of $50-$150.

Without knowing all the details I'd probably put a reserve of $50, starting bid of $1 and BIN $200. There are alot of sites in that range though so I think you'd be lucky to sell it (unless it looks really good).

Your site has made $24 so far, right? Where did the traffic come from?

Unless the article itself is ranking in Google then the traffic will quickly die out (if it hasn't already). The way that you drove traffic to the site is called "bum marketing" which involves writing articles and then directing the traffic to the site. If you don't write the articles then you won't get the traffic.

That being said, if the offer converts well and you're getting good traffic from ezinearticles then you could consider hiring someone to write articles for $4 each, putting them on ezinearticles, and then making money from the affiliate sales.

It's not worth selling the site yet you won't get much with $24 in revenue unless you have crazy traffic numbers and just poor conversions. With the fees and everything on Flippa I would wait till the site has more history otherwise you won't make anything.

Jeff is right. As someone who has sold a lot of sites on flippa I can tell you that you will be hard pressed to break even. Better off waiting to age the domain, increase traffic or revenue or sell privately IMHO.

you can probably sell it for $50-$100, the best way is to add value to the site. like offering an ebook on how to seo or montetize the site and make lots of profit of it,. some one might buy it just for the ebooks.

After fees I doubt you would clear more than $25. You have to pay $19 to list then fees on the sale price, plus paypal fees.

You may be better off hanging onto your site for a while until it starts making more money. Flippa has some great tutorials and ways that you can value your website. You can also look through the websites they have listed and find the ones that are more like your site to see what they are selling for.

Mostly good responses ... list it now without a history of earning some money, and you'll be lucky to break even after paying Flippa fees.

Why not wait a few more months to see if it makes more money, the more it makes the more you can ask for it when you want to sell it.
