Methods you use for selling Amazon items?

Hi,

I would like to know those methods which are really very helpful for earning good money from Amazon.

I have heard that building review site based on keywords that include the words like reviews, prices, buy etc. is more targeted than others.

I would like to know your experience.

    One thing that worked for me is I built a authority sites then started to do reviews on various items in that niche. I choose relativly low compition items I they get ranked in google pretty quickly. saying that, half the items I get commision on are not even the products I do reviews on. Thats why amazon is such a great starting place for myself and others.

    But if you choose something you like doing or a hobby, writing the reviews can become less of a bore.

      Hi,

      I think product review style works good and customers start believing you. I suggest you to review those items which you think is really good at quality, otherwise you will get some sells but may loose faith of your customer.

    Review sites are definitely a good idea, but I have found that giving away a free product/service that is related to the Amazon product you are creating is viable as well.

    So, for example, let's say you want to promote gardening books on Amazon. You might want to take the time to organize embedded youtube 'gardening' videos (make sure you have permission) and/or offer a free ebook on your site.

    Give people a reason to come to your site. Then they will build trust in you and your opinion with regards to suggesting a product.

    Go with review sites, you won't be disappointed. Although, I'd recommend having user reviews open on your site as well as having a nice looking website (looks more trustworthy) so your conversion rates are higher. You want to provide detailed reviews of your own and then let the customers chime in (or even import reviews from Amazon as comments) ... rank your website and you're good to go.

    To start out, I'd recommend finding some low competition products in your niche to promote; write reviews on them and you'll start ranking on the first page quite easily. Build up your content and you'll eventually make it to the first page for a lot of your targeted keywords (despite difficulty).

    I built couple of amazon reviews site and left it there to rot 1 years ago. Just checked my amazon and found that I have a $109 income which I'm not aware of! So yeah, amazon review still work.

      Normally I recommend to you use free blog and if you required to good ranking on Google your will use all service from goggle for promote your
      Amazon aff (YouTube,Google site, Blogger) and another service your can find from Google also, This method still work..

    build it with free plugins??
    or do you catch the newest content in your niche with rss feeds and put them on your site??
    do you rewritten this content fronm other people or do you only post a snippet of that content with a linkto the original author????

    how you make that??
    and how do you put amazon products in tis autoblog? as textlinks in the sidebar who goes direct to the amazon product page? or do you put own written product reviews on your autoblog or only a amazon store????

    can you explain me a little bit your business model?

    I have 4 lenses on squidoo, I created them 8 months ago.



    Recently I log into my amazon page and I saw this:



    I did this merely to try out squidoo lenses. It works. However, I wouldn't recommend squidoo because you totally have no control over it (you don't own the site, do you?).

    I highly recommend creating your own review sites and post your own unique content in it.

    And how much from the 164$ you must split with squidoo??? 50%?

      Other methods that are being used quite successfully, especially for high end or specialty products, are social media, email marketing, online/offline advertising in niche ezines/publications, direct marketing, mobile marketing, telemarketing, and even face to face sales. It is against the Amazon TOS to sell directly from your affiliate link with these methods, but best marketing practices is to drive traffic to relevant presell pages.

    PS: With squidoo I get my amazon comission payouts faster trough paypal not wait for their cheques, or is this only when I split my earnings with squidoo?

      Yes, that is only when you split your earnings with Squidoo, but really if you reach the monthly payment threshold then you would get paid each month anyway so it isn't worth spliting with Squidoo unless your volume is very low (under 7 sales per month).
