Stealing WP Theme
I've known someone who created a wp theme site but knows nothing about creating themes. He is taking themes from other sites submitted by other people, edit the footer with his links put it on his theme site, and available for free download.
I asked him what happens when the owners of the themes found out, he told me that there should be no problem because he is not deleting the developer's link. He just adding his links.
I asked the same question at wp official forum and no one could give me a good answer.
He then told me that the developers should thank him because he is distributing their themes. Anyhow, he is not distributing premium themes. Just free themes submitted by other developers in other theme sites.
Do you think it's illegal? Since no one could give me a better answer at WP support forum, I assume no crime is committed here... What do you think?
