I see but it just sucks that other people have to screw up everything for other people. I feel like I wasted 2 years of marketing.

  It's only wasted if you let it be. Go out an kick some a** over the next year. Then come back here on your 18th bday and let us know how you've been. You may be doing so well that you won't come back that often (if at all).

  If I read the OP correctly before it got edited, I think they said they had a previous username that already was closed.
  
  (So it wasn't real wise to sign up again just to say that their previous account was closed due to being under 18)

  For the record, this was the poster formerly known as Dan DaSilva, and banning him over his age was among the most unpleasant things I've ever had to do as a moderator.
  
  I could probably list several dozen members over 40, with high post counts, that deserve banning more than Dan ever would.

It is a legal issue you are not allowed to enter into a legally binding contract with anyone because your a minor.

It's not new -- it was in the TOS when you signed up. It's just that now it's being enforced.

And btw, I don't see how you "wasted" two years of marketing here? Did you learn something, build relationships, build lists, make money, etc? If so...?
