Who in here is a creative thinker?

Gary Dahl created the pet rock! Somebody was cutting the scrotums off of bulls and thought, "HEY, there MUST be a use for this!" and Bully Bags came into being! Somebody figured out that scorpions and tarantulas were fairly native to the SW, caught some, enclosed them in plastic and sold tons of them. A young girl makes jewelry from fishing lures, sells them online and makes a lot of money!

What do all these have in common... creativity and marketing know-how!

I am SO fascinated with this stuff that I am starting a chat group devoted exclusively to the subject (this is NOT a recruiting advertisement)!

Creativity and marketing go hand in hand and someone who is really creative can easily become successful online. Have you ever considered that? All you have to do is be creative, market efficiently and you have the potential to make huge amounts of money!

The problem in the world of "make money online" ideas is that the majority of people are doing what the majority of people are doing!!! It's almost like an internet marketing assembly line! When you look at all the products and services being offered out there don't you sometimes feel that it's all just the same thing but in different words? Don't you feel like when you read one course you have read them all?

I once read a book by Roger Von Oech called "A Whack On The Side Of The Head" and I was fascinated from that point on! If I had never read that book, I may never have come up with the idea for Thaddaeus T Hogg, the Hillbilly Marketeer!

One day I was sitting around thinking about how I could do something different in the internet marketing arena. Oh, there were LOTS of gladiators fighting in the arena but most of them were using the same battle techniques. So, it got me to thinking about what I could do different. That is when Thad was born.

Now, I haven't done much in the way of monetization with Thad because I just love having fun with him BUT I am getting to the point to where all these crazy ideas keep popping into my head! What if I had a logo created that suited the Thad character? What if I trademarked Thad? What if I used that logo and put "Thad Widsom" on t-shirts, coffee cups, posters, etc. What if I wrote a book on "Thadisms" and published it. There is huge potential there and I am leaning in that direction now that I am getting closer to retirement. When I retire, I will need more than my good looks to get by!

He may not remember this but I was talking to Paul Myers on the phone once and he told me that if HE had come up with the Thad character, he would be a millionaire. I have never forgotten that! I'm not a millionaire BUT I have never forgotten that!!!

The point I am trying to make is this.... the true guides are the ones that blaze the trail, not the ones that follow after. You have to be an innovator. You have to go where few have gone before. You have to think differently. You have to do all those things but furthermore, unlike myself, you have got to take action on your ideas!

Take care!

    Thad isn't a real person?

At least there is still a Santa Claus. Whew. So, at least there's that.

That's always been a major problem for butt sniffers.

But how creative can butt sniffers be anyway?

For people that just have a mind to make creative content I would suggest them to make a blog or write articles. People that make use of all there tools online could make some crazy money. Content is key when you post on a blog or forum.

Most of the people who does not know much about online money making, they think that people earn money from online by doing nothing. Some people who have got a little idea about it, they think through PTC only people can make money online.

They failed to realize that money making in online is sometimes more harder than a general job. People who are actually making money online, they are always using their brain the most. I totally agree that creative people can make money online.

Genius. Love Thad. I've enjoyed every single thing he's typed. Much like I did with Santa Claus during my earlier years... I will turn a blind eye and pretend I didn't read about how Thad was born as I'd prefer to believe he is, indeed, real.

Chris W., I love creativity and one thing I learnt about creativity is that it lessen the competition ,boost sale and profit . But quite a lot of people are brain-lazy--they don't want to do the thinking themself and would rather have someone do it for them.

As a Nigerian myself, there are a lot of people here in Nigeria who would rather want to do google adsense, affiliate marketing etc but I learnt something here on WF and developed a sneaky tweak and guess what I see? Almost zero competition and huge profit.

I have been in school but just graduate.I am starting next month and I will come back here to give my results.

It all comes down to carving out a niche for yourself. Owning your niche. Which is exactly what you've accomplished Chris by thinking 'outside of the box'.

Everything starts with ideas. More Warriors need to seriously ask themselves...

What is my point of differentiation?

In other words, what separates me out from what everybody else is doing out there?

You only as you quite rightly pointed out need to look around the forum to see most people here are followers, not innovators. Most here are looking for the magic bullet but the crux of the matter is they're simply for the most part following in the footsteps of other people who have already gone before them. And in so doing are unable to come up with anything new themselves because they only have a follower mentality.

Yes this can work for some people but for the majority, unable to find their point of differentiation, what makes them unique and different, they quickly fall by the wayside unable to keep up any momentum.

Business thrives on innovation and fresh ideas.

People are in love with the new not the old.

When you constantly follow in the footsteps of others you're in great danger of becoming staid and boring. You end up simply repeating that which has gone on before you and then you wonder why nobody is really very interested in what you have to say (or sell come to that).

So in trying to find a new angle, a way to position yourselves look around you. Look at the marketplace, it's enormous. Go out there and find products and services which you can put a new slant on. Bounce ideas around. Become excited at the prospect of learning, discovering the new.

Remember when you were a child? Everything was so exciting. Everywhere you looked around you had you constantly asking...

Why this, why that, why something else, how does this work, how can I make this better, different, more exciting? In other words you were by nature in love with the new.

You need to try and capture this feeling again. Be curious about the world around you. Be inquisitive. Ask lots of questions. Try and uncover the pearl in someone elses idea which they haven't yet thought about and see if you can base your business model on this new exciting angle.

Remember! Business is in love with the new. Innovation. Thinking outside the box.

Do this for the next 7 days as you search around the Internet, keep a pen and paper handy and jot down any ideas you have. Go off in directions which you would never normally go in and I guarantee for one or two of you at least, you'll uncover something which could just be the spark you need to start making lots of money from your idea.

    Warmest regards,

    Mark Andrews

While this is true in some cases, I have found that a lot of people have simply forgotten, or never learned, how to think creatively.

A lot of people will read this and think, "My, what a lovely idea!" and then go on with their lives. Complacency is a bane to success! You have to be proactive to really make changes in your life!

Creativity can be a problem as well. This is something I always need to control because it can lead to huge amounts of wasted time.

For example, do you try to create a whole new market for a product or position it into a market that already exists? Now, you may be creative enough to create a demand in a completely new market but it would be more efficient to hit the market where demand is already available.

Sadly, My Pet Cantaloupe never really took off...
