Is Internet Marketing Moving To Video And Mobile?

I was visiting a website and I saw an ad for Google adwords for video, and then I see a warrior in the warrior forum creating a video software that allows you to place opt in pages and other tools using video. Then you have the apps space, which is on fire.

Is it me or will the future of the internet be video on mobile phones?

I think we are headed towards that and I think it is going to be a lot faster than many think.

The Australian Google head stated recently that all communications were moving towards video/audio.

Always be a place for text (and Kindle type technologies support this) however the tolerance for extended text (as opposed to curated text content supporting multi media) may be getting shorter.

    Hi Guys and Gals,

Yes, video is definitely the future, - in fact, it's here already: right now 60% of Google's search results are already video, with images second and text a poor third.

So Google knew what they were doing when they bought YouTube!

And with the smart phone revolution, videos and images are far better than text.

And that's probably why FaceBook had their 'facelift' earlier this year, with their Timeline. This made it far more image friendly, with the ability to 'pin' images.

    Does 'pinning' sound familiar?

It should do, because Pinterest is coming up fast and snapping at FaceBook's heels. What's more, you can pin videos on Pinterest as well as images.

    So the future is video.

    Warmest regards,

    Paul

Yes its definitely where we are headed but don't expect it to stop there and videos become the be all and end all of advertising.

Whats hot right now and will surpass videos as they become just another novelty on the internet is sales through image quotations and until the day reading and writing is not part of the school curriculum people will always be open to text.

here's a test, jump on your facebook page and check out some of the most recent posts in your feed for...

    1. someone just typing something
    2. someone posting an image with a quote on it
    3. someone posting a video

compare the likes, comments and shares between each and you'll find in almost every case videos will have the lowest results from those 3 types of posts.

If im right, come back and check out the link in my signature, if i'm not come back and share your findings with me so I can tweak the formula for next time.

Videos are great for internet marketing - it's easier to catch people's attention, and you can express more. But I don't think mobile phones will help you.

video will be the future becuz it is a more interacti media format, it draws people's attention more. People don't like to read as much as they like watching videos. This is why videos are much more responsive

Exactly what is meant by the term "...video is the future..."?

I ask because I've been hearing this for at least 5 years now and nothing has changed in that regard.

Is video not here now, and was THIS not the future that was being spoken about when I first started hearing "...video is the future..." over 5 years ago?

    Just asking.

Video and mobile definitely are new waves, almost "faddish". People who sell and make money off the niche certainly will tell you that you're going to miss the train if you pass it up.

I think however regular size computer screen and html are going to be with us for a long, long time yet.

Video has been big for some time now. As far as mobile my take on that is that most mobile devices are evolving into having full featured web browsers so I am not so sure how helpful it is to develop special mobile versions of your site anymore. Applications on the other hand....
