Safest way to build ebay feedback without having account suspended?

Hopefully most of the stuff i have read about how easy it is to get your ebay account suspended if trying to build your feedback is untrue, the reason being, as a beginner on ebay you NEED to build feedback to sell off something like a wholesale order.

There are plenty of methods to build feedback but can you get caught for these:

Bidding on 1c - 10c items (maybe 10 a day) and then claiming the good feedback on all these purchases? Is this safe?

Making deals with others (maybe even people you know) to buy items from your ebay and your send them the money. E.g. I send John £$20 and he buys multiple items from his different accounts from my ebay.

Has anyone an idea of the safest yet effective way to get feedback up to a reasonable level prior to wholesale ordering.

Thank you.

I always find that honesty is the best policy. There are a few ways I have gotten a lot of people to give feedback. One is to give everyone feed back yourself. This includes people that you buy from as well as people that buy from you. I also include a little printed note in each product I ship asking for feedback. I also enclose a short handwritten note of 1 or 2 lines thanking them for their purchase and wishing them well. You can print out a packing slip and put it on there.

Sell quality stuff. Ship it quickly. Provide good customer service like letting your customers know when you've shipped. Any tricky shortcuts will get you booted.

The best way to get good feedback is to buy bunch of stuff and pay ontime.

Then you can use that to sell on ebay

An outstanding product, and fast delivery. And lots of sales. Some sellers have $.99 cent auctions that are specifically designed to automatically leave you a positive feedback when you leave them a positive feedback.

why are people always trying to trick the system?

What's so hard about providing good service and a good product?

Just be truthful and do what you promise to do, in the time you promise to do it, and people will give you good feedback.

Why? Sales, money, pay bills, that's why.

The truth is i'm not really one for blackhat, i like to be ethical, avoid tricking people and i'm not even one for shortcuts. But i am trying to become a seller on ebay, this means i have to compete with guys who have 4 digits of positive feedback and on some products possibly 6 digits. This means they have got anywhere from 1000 to 200,000 positive sales that is displayed on the same page the customer chooses to part with their money. Now although not everybody looks for high feedback, many sure do. I need to get a small amount of feedback to start with, after that there will be no messing around.

It is pretty simple really buy and sell cheap stuff on eBay. Cell Phone screen protectors are good, coupon inserts work and then just buy your everyday household needs on eBay for the feedback. For example if you need a pair of socks buy them on eBay.

It is the stuff under a dollar they look for.

Just buy loads of stuff on ebay - the cheaper the better. Buy them from different sellers to diversify your feedback, and then when you sell stuff, generally if you don't screw it up you're going to get positive feed back. Good luck!

Good mix of ideas in replies there, a combination of all that should help get in the door for selling anyway.

Hi Ebayer, you've received good advice here, I hope you take it. eBay (and amazon) has "profiles" of sellers that they will ban. If you fall into those "profiles" you will be banned, so stay away from (bad)ideas like paying people for feedback.
The best thing you can do is buy good, inexpensive merchandise and price it super low, and ask ask ask for feedback. Provide excellent customer service & you will have your feedback rating quickly.
