What are some good squeeze page giveaways?

Hello Warriors,

I'm having a hard time figuring out a quality freebie I can give to people who opt in to my list. I have heard everything from rehashing a PLR ebook to sending them a few Youtube links, etc. My goal is to make a really good impression on them so they will pay attention to my future mails. Thoughts?

Also, is it necessary that the free giveaway be related to future affiliate products that you will be offering? And lastly, do you guys deal with only one 'main' affiliate product that you repeatedly try to pitch, or several? I appreciate any input you can provide!

Personally I always include a free ebook giveaway that I easily get from the numerous plr and mmr sites. This free gift is usually in the niche that I will want to market to them later, for example, if the niche is in "make money" I might throw in a traffic ebook that shows you how you could turn a given type of traffic into converting sales and profits.

Thanks ken. Do you rewrite that material or use as-is?

Yes, Mainly because I need to insert content that will relate to future offers or products that I intend market to the subscribers. Most of these plr mmr products usually contain general material that's sometimes even outdated. I like to direct the reader towards a very specific subject. Think of the free gift as though it were a preview to the main feature product you want to market.

I've never found PLR that I like enough to rewrite, and that I feel could actually be worth something to my readers.

So I write my own freebies and giveaways.

If I was using PLR, I'd never use as-is. Then what value would I be providing?

I think it depends on what type of site you run, the niche, what you intend to accomplish with your list, and a few other variables.

If you're looking to brand yourself as an expert, my research suggests that the absolute best freebie for this is one you have created yourself and is branded to you and your site.

I think that using such a freebie helps to start the subscriber relationship on a very strong note and helps solidify the continuity that can make your list more responsive.

Just have to nail down the variables of what you're trying to accomplish and go from there.

    Good luck

You also need to know your audience. What is it that they want? What will give them value?

This will vary with what type of site you have, and what subject you are "teaching." For example, are your readers (those you want to squeeze):
    male?
    female?
old, middle age, young adult, teens?
    married, single?
    What are their hobbies?
Why are they reading your website?
    What is their...
    education level?
    income bracket?
    their lifestyle?
    occupation?
Do they want to read information, watch it on video, listen to an audio book?

How well do you know your audience?

Zero in on "who is your customer" and what is in it for them.

    Hope that helps.

I agree with the comments above. Creating a unique giveaway that also brands you to your followers is a great plan.

The easiest way I found to do this is to have an interview with someone (or they interview you making you look like the expert) then have it transcribed into an ebook.

When they optin they receive the ebook and the mp3 audio. A lot of people like to listen to these interviews on the go. That way they are not restricted to having to sit down and read your content but they are still absorbing your content

Once you have your interview complete you can have it transcribed on fiverr pretty cheap.

I also am in favour of the create it yourself plan.
I`ve done that personally and it`s been widely successful, both in terms of downloads, and also list retention.

That's the best way to do it. It doesn't really take that long to produce a quality report if you have experience in this industry.

A free webinar works really well in most niches, covering a couple of the biggest frustrations. Also, whatever you do, put it in the readers / listeners mind that to COMPLETELY crack the formula / get over the problem etc, you will be sending future emails to them.

Sometimes, not always, a good idea is to say something like "Whenever you receive emails from me the subject line will always begin with [xyx]"

Also you don't have to promote one big product. For example, you can have a minor product on your thank you page after they opt in, and on the page you can "let them know" that there's this really good site dealing with the problem at hand, and tell them that you only give this link to your subscribers, creating exclusivity, and "politely" ask of them to not share the link with anyone else, further creating an initial bonding.

Your next 3 emails or so should focus on mainly "why" they need to overcome the frustrations and problems of whatever niche you're in, with a very small bit of "what" and "how". Then focus more and more on the "how" then reset the theme every 4 or 5 emails.

Make a list of the most common objections and frustrations, and a separate list of their dreams and ambitions. Do 2 emails tackling an objection each, then the next 2 dealing with a dream/ambition. This will make it much easier to know what to write about if you have these 2 lists.

Every 3 emails promote an affiliate offer.

Split test. You can have 2 lists to test out if you want. One large and one small. You can use the small list for testing before sending out to your large list.

    Just some general advice.

Here's something you need to do if you want to boost your profits exponentially and should give more attention to, FAR more than your initial freebie: Attention.

Now people only ever give real valuable attention to those that they TRUST.

People don't like marketers. You can have all the tactics you want. Imagine you're at a showroom and someone comes up to you, is wearing an eye popping million dollar watch, slick gelled back hair that just oozes "I am rich and know what I'm talking about", has the best suit on and comes up to you saying "Hey, you seem different, not like the others here tonight", and just speaks perfectly, lines that you would have to work on and memorize, yet this guy is a natural - but all this time you just think "I wanna slap this idiot!", even though he seems "cool".

What made you think that? Simply because the moment he came towards you, the alarm went off, you got defensive....this translates into no sale. It's old marketing.

Now imagine the opposite. This salesman was someone you've come to know for a very long time as the "go to guy" for all things car related and you trust him. Even when you weren't looking for a car, he always gave you information about vehicles, what's going on in the market, he genuinely loves cars and you trust him.

You would go and seek his advice right? And you would respect him and be more than willing to share your objections and dreams with him related to cars because there is a genuine foundation of substance there already between him and you. You would gladly buy from him, repeatedly. Even if there was a slightly better deal somewhere else, you would be more than happy to go with this guy.

So you need to focus on building the bridge of trust. Once that bridge has been completed, people will not look at you as a salesman, but as a trusted advisor. It's once you do that, once you become the "trusted one" that your success will reach the stratosphere. We have films where people become the "chosen one". Well, your mission as an IM'er should be to become the "trusted one". View it as a mission, a journey, to become the one, makes this whole business thing fun! Plus profitable. That's when you can have control over the masses.

    But don't abuse that power!

Are you up for what it takes to be The One?

The key to great giveaways and building those relationships is provide quality relevant content and over deliver. Keep them coming back waiting for your next email.

Make sure to stay in front of your followers by sending an email a day.

You can give audio video trainings or webinars. Free ebooks. Newsletters. If you use mystery in your copy you will get opt ins without giving away the world

Thanks for the replies guys and girls My next move is figuring out where to get this great content.. I'm not much of a writer myself. Would it be worth it to locate some quality limited PLR? Admittedly I don't have many fancy tricks to give away as I'm relatively new over here.

You can hire a freelancer to write an e-book. I prefer to name it a "Report" because if you tell your subscribers that you are giving them an e-book, they would expect to learn a lot since it's an e-book. But when you tell your subscribers that you are giving them a "Report" to show them or teach them 1 2 3 they will trust you much because they don't expect to learn everything in that niche from just a report. they will read your report, TRUST you and they will be ready to buy anything from you.

I also highly advise you not to keep sending them an email each and every day, just send them only something you know is valuable, so you build a TRUST between them and you.

You can find some freelancers that can write anything you want at warriorforum.com/warriors-hire

An example of a Report Title is "10 Ways To Get Girls To Like You"

I hope this help you )

Instead of "report," consider using the word "guide."

i have found that video courses work great, i built my first list by giving 5 free videos and the response i got from that was awsome

you may not like making video tutorials or you may not like doing them but they are powerful and do work very well

i know some people say they don`t like watching videos but you just have to appeal the majority audience and most people prefer to watch videos than reading an ebook, that has been proven time and time again

what ever you give away to build your list just make sure it`s unique to you and not rehashed PLR garbage

just think about what your good at and how you could provide some value in some videos or a short report or even a podcast

also, i don`t try to sell affiliate products in most of my funnels because i focus more on selling my own products and sending people deeper into my funnels

just focusing on selling affiliate products does work but it`s a bit limited because it`s much harder to build a buyers list doing it this way

All of the PLR stuff I've found has been spun garbage and US/UK readers can see right through it. Write stuff in your own voice. You can use the PLR stuff as an outline if you want.

Carry your story through with your freebie. Your visitor landed on your page for a reason, give them the answer to their question in your freebie.

It's not really difficult at all to throw together some good valuable information, in a short report in your own words (it doesn't have to be Pulitzer Prize level quality) and put an ecover on it, and you got your free info gift.

You can take an hour or two to put the info together, then take maybe a day or two to put it together in a concise way, a day for someone at Fiverr to create the ecover, and you're literally in business.

Just remember people need some value to give away their details these days, if you give them crap to start off just to get them on your list then they will just be a crap lead.

I know it sounds like work but write your own ebook, keep it focused on what you will market to them in the future, because you cant exactly give away a book on car electronics and try and sell them cat litter box products in the future.

Just think "what would I opt in for" and then take it from there!

    Interview an Expert.

This is an evergreen tactic, and assuming the expert has products you will be able to stick in the affiliate links and be genuine with the reason you're promoting.

All you need to do is come up with 5 - 10 questions, and then get in touch with the expert.

The key thing is that you need to have a bit of passion, and let others in your niche know all about this passion by sharing the interview with as many people as possible.

Video is relatively quick and simple provided you have a plan of action.

PLR is tabooed to be unoriginal however it only has to be original to the eyes that are viewing it.

Videos are easy to make... if your comfortable with being on camera get on and talk about what ever your nich is about or get cam studio its free and make some camtasia style videos where you show them how to do something related to your niche... these two things are free and have a high perceived value... people love videos

It's actually quite common to see people using slideshow / screen capture videos with voice overs as opposed to showing themselves, asuuming they aren't using a white board.

Slideshows help to simplify, converting the message better and helps the creator to focus on doing exactly that rather than have a side concern for their appearance.

Some people choose to do a brief into "in-person" then segue into a slide show.

With that said, it totally depends upon what you are trying to achieve. I know that brief, personal introductions help to build trust effectively in which case you sometimes don't learn any other subject than the background of the person.

Have you considered joining the War Room? There are some fantastic, quality products/reports given away that you might find useful (although they don't always have giveaway/PLR rights). However, it's a great place to find out more and share information.
