I am planning to hire a ghostwriter to write a few kindle books. I need suggestions on best selling topics to get the books written from anyone who has experience as a kindle seller.

Short romance novels. People love to get immersed in the story; and if it's worth reading, you will have a customer buy follow up books.

You could create the next 'Fifty Shades of Grey'.

Go on Odesk and try find a female writer specialising in romance writing.

What you need to do is go to Kindle and look for the best selling books in all categories. Social media marketing books are hot. Making money on Kindle books are hot. Raising guppies might be hot. Political stuff is hot right now. A book for the red team or the blue team will sell as well as one against either party. Survival stuff is hot.

The end of the world is coming later this year. Lots of people are into that. There're more topics than you can imagine. Do some checking.

  • Also, think of niches where you can publish multiple titles because if a reader likes one he will check out your other stuff but do not make each book too sparse. I remember seeing one warrior who had published 10+ internet marketing interviews and one was a top 10 in the web marketing category.

Recipes were big back in the day but i think Amazon pulled them down.

From what I've seen, you can still sell cookbooks. But to do it you have to write (or hire written) a bona fide cookbook. Scraping a bunch of recipes off of blogs which scraped them from vendor sites and throwing together a recipe book won't work anymore.

      • Going straight to Amazon and checking the top selling Kindle books is a fast and easy way. Also, just do a quick Google search for top Kindle book niches. The results will provide you with more than enough to get you going.

Also, look up ways to actually "market" your Kindle book. Many successful Kindle publishers will tell you that marketing your Kindle book is a lot of hard work, but has to be done in order to be successful.

        I hope that helps.

You need to approach this just like you would if you were writing an article that is designed to attract a lot of attention. I'm talking about "Link Bait". Do something a little controversial...or promote it as such....get noticed.
