Escrow.com Doubts :-S

Hello !

I have decided to sell my $800 - $1000 monthly making business on Flippa.
As a Sri lankan I can't eceive money to my PayPal account.

I like to do transaction through Escow.com . Should I submit any verification documents to do Flippa transaction through Flippa ?

Thanks.

Just provide what escrow.com is asking. And contact escrow.com support for more details. Escrow.com is the most trusted name in escrow business.

I have used escrow.com for many transactions, big and small. They are solid and I personally like them. But you might want to contact them about international issues that could arise. All my transactions were US-based.

I've used Escrow.com several times as well and I've never had any trouble. If you're selling your site or domain through Flippa.com you'll receive a discount. I believe it's 20%, but you can check and make sure.

One thing you should be prepared for though, I'm pretty sure that there's an additional $35.00 fee for international transactions. I've only had to deal with that once and don't remember the exact circumstances, though.

What you should do is go to Escrow.com and in the left hand menu you'll see a link that says "Fee Calculator" or something like that. Click that and it should tell you everything you need to know concerning your costs. If not, you can always contact their support.

Just so you know, most buyers are okay with splitting the Escrow fees. That will save you some money. I've done it every time but once. The one time I did pay all the fees myself was for an incentive, though, as the guy was "on the fence" about whether to buy or not.

        Anyway, hope that helps.

Had an international transaction go through Escrow.com a few years ago without a hitch. Just follow the instructions they provide you and there should be no problems.

Used escrow.com many years ago for a 5,000$ transaction. It was for a domain I sold and it went through with no issues. I would recommend them for sure.

Escrow.com is very easy to work with and the process is almost completely automated. It is very easy to initiate and follow through with a transaction, and they have pretty good phone support, which is helpful when people forget to update the transaction.

I still use them and never had any issue .

They give the seller to options for payment disbursement. Theycan send a check by mail (free) or overnight by FedEx($30). They can also wire the funds to an international bank ($40) which takes about 3-5 business days to arrive.

As far as the transfer of merchandise, Escrow.com will provide you the best protection against fraud. They will collect and secure the funds before they authorize you to transfer the website. If the buyer fails to update the transaction after the transfer, Escrow.com can help you move the transaction forward if you can provide proof that all the website content was transferred, so be sure to keep everything documented, so that they can help you as efficiently as possible.
