Hi

I have signed up for leadpagegenerator(.net) , which is an all in one solution for building landing/squeeze pages, with seemingly good tracking of visitors and quite a lot of good features.

The programme is a bit expensive however, at about $99 per month.

Does anyone know of anything similar that they are using, preferably with a one off payment or even smaller monthly payments.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks
Graham

Creating landing and squeez pages are pretty easy to learn. HTML is a VERY easy programming language. You can use programs like Dreamweaver... its just like using powerpoint or Word.

If you have an autoresponder all you'll need to do is copy/paste code where you want your opt-in to go.

Good luck finding a cheaper route. I wish I had one for you... but I create all of my pages since I've been developing websites and web apps for about 10 years now.

If you'd like I can create some for you... send me a PM.

I think Graham is looking for a program that automates a lot of the process. I wouldn't be surprised if he wants a feature I desire: The ability to use PHP to dynamically change the wording on my landing pages to match the keywords someone used that eventually led them to click on my Adwords ad.

In terms of creating landing pages from scratch, I agree that the skills can be learned. Plus, someone as experienced as you can probably make a killer landing page for a client that could then be used as a template for one of these automated programs.

Hmmm. So if I want LPG 5.0 to work I need to buy the way overpriced hosting for $50 a month. I'm not liking the direction this is going. Specifically, if I stay with LPG 5.0 for a year, I'll end up spending more than double the cost of LPGen, which is probably a better program.
I have noticed that sometimes services recommend not using GoDaddy hosting. I've never used GoDaddy, so I can't comment.

Why not try a hosting service such as BlueHost or HostGator, both of whom are competitively priced and I would be surprised if they did not work with LPG. Check this out first yourself, of course.

        Regards,
        Jeff.

Thanks Jeff. That's exactly what the LPG 5.0 folks recommended. I already have an account with BlueHost and like them a lot so I'll switch to them for hosting.

I signed up for LeadPageGenerator 5.0 a couple of days ago. I thought LPGen (Landing Page Generator) looked better but I don't have $500 right now to buy it.

LPG 5.0 costs $49 per month BUT I just found out that they strongly encourage you to use a hosting company that charges $49.95 per month. I don't know if Chris Koehl (owner of LPG 5.0) owns that hosting company (StrategicSystemsHosting) or not.

I bought a hosting account with GoDaddy for LPG 5.0 ($7 per month) before I saw in the LPG 5.0 video tutorial (which I think was just uploaded today, although I'm not sure) that "GoDaddy hosting is not recommended." I wrote to LPG 5.0 tech support asking, "If I stay with GoDaddy is it going to present problems for me in the future?" The answer:
Godaddy is not recommended, however, if you insist on using this hosting, we can try a patch but there's no guarantee it will work.

I am very interested in any comments, suggestions, insights, etc. on this issue.

    Thanks!
