Hi,

I have to say that I do like reading the posts about website flipping - I really like the idea and am working on a couple of sites with that in mind.

Conversely, I was having a bit of a nose around the sitepoint forum today and saw a couple of sites for sale that I kind of liked the look of.

This made me think about the flippees (not sure that's the correct term). Is there anyone of this forum that would consider themselves a successful flippee? Someone who has found a site for sale, bought it and benefitted from it?

Also, are there any bad experiences out there that you would care to share? Or some hints and tips for becoming a discerning flippee?

Thanks,
Tom

I've bought quite a few websites in the semi-established region and flipped them after keeping them for a few weeks.

No, I had not had a single bad experience (yet).

One who does his due diligence before buying a site is less likely to have a bad experience. That said, you cannot guarantee anything for a website.
