I really dislike gmail spam filtering

It seems like one of the few big things Google has gotten wrong over the years:

1. A lot of lists I actually opted into and WANT to receive content from, are automatically sent to spam.

2. A lot of actual spam gets right through to my inbox no problem.

3. There are plenty of messages from recepients that I've sent to the spam folder time and time again, and gmail never catches on and labels them as spam. I eventually have to go into the settings and add them to the spam list.

I prefer Rackspace Mail (formerly MailTrust). I don't use webmail, though theirs is fine. I prefer their spam filters to Google's. And I have an actual SLA (100% uptime guaranteed or a refund is due, 24/7/365 support).

Of course, it costs money. $1 to $2 per mailbox with a $10 monthly minimum.

I don't really seem to have a problem with Gmail's spam filter. Every once in a while a newsletter or daily email will go in there, but not always. Maybe you have accidentally hit the SPAM button for one of the emails and that is why they are going in there?

In that case, just simply hit the "Not Spam" button and those emails will be delivered to your regular inbox instead. Love Gmail and have been routing my email through them for awhile now.

You're going to fail. If you're afraid of failure then you do not belong in the Internet Marketing Business. Period.

Actually if these have been flagged by other people using gmail as "spam", high chances are that they are going to land in the spam folder and most specially if they contain specific keywords that trigger gmail's spam system.

Gmail has been good to me so far, yep sometimes I need to go fish emails out of the spam folder but nevertheless the amount of things and services you can do with a gmail account; specially if you are on the go..are tremendous

Create a label; News List or something and as days passed; add all the emails you are receiving from the list you opted in to that label and you are set to go..

The aim of marketing is to make selling superfluous. The aim of marketing is to know and understand the customer so well that the product or service fits him and sells itself.....
