I'm not sure but why would you? What if they close your
account? It's much better to use your own website when
it comes to building a list. Websites and hosting don't cost
    that much.

    I agree with IM Headlines.

I'm all for blogs, but make sure to keep them or anything for that matter hosted on your own server.

you could easily build your list using blogger but to be honest i really don`t know why you would want to because it`s just as easy to create a basic wordpress site on your own domain

this way once you build the traffic it will keep coming because you own the domain

google can disable your blogger blog at anytime so it`s not a wise move to spent time building a blogger blog up

Yes, you can use blogger to build your list.

I use them for landing pages all the time. Never had an issue and I've built many segmented lists with landing pages on blogspot domains.

yeap totally agree with those who are telling you to get one hosted on wordpress as google can close your blog anytime and all the efforts you put into doing it will be washed down the drain.. Work smarter hehe

The aim of marketing is to make selling superfluous. The aim of marketing is to know and understand the customer so well that the product or service fits him and sells itself.....

    I don't understand the question.

Blogger is just a free blogging platform - why wouldn't you be able to use it to build a list?

It's no different than the thousands of other platforms for doing the same, which is not different than building your own site in many respects.

The main difference is (as people have said) that you ultimately don't own the site so it's not wise to have it as the main focus for your business, but since building a list can be done with just about any of the many thousands of ways to build a web page - of course the answer to your question is yes.

The sooner you invest in your own domain and install the wordpress software the sooner you can start to see results. As others have said blogger could delete your account at anytime, and most of the listbuilding plugins are designed to work on self hosted blogs.

What are you trying to do? If you are asking if you can build a list from your blogger visitors, of course you can - you can build a list practically anywhere.

However, why are you using blogger? Invest ten bucks into a domain, and a few bucks a month into a web host account.

Like some of the others have said, invest in wordpress and your own domain now. Blogger does delete accounts - I know from firsthand experience!

        This.

You can do it, if you really want to, until they remove your site. But it's a completely unnecessary and very ill-advised idea.

You can do it far more safely and securely on a site you own and control (even if it's a free one on free hosting) than on a site Blogger owns and controls. There's no benefit from doing it at Blogger, just several disadvantages which many people discover too late.

This thread will help you, if you read it carefully enough: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...y-website.html

      You're kidding right?

It's full of Amazon affiliate links.

Looks like the only purpose of the content is to stuff Amazon links in it.

On the contrary, Lewey - there are many things wrong with that. Several of which are outlined or explained in this very thread, as you'd have noticed if you'd read it before replying.

Using Blogger as a platform for list building is being penny wise and pound foolish. No one will join your list when they see how serious you are by using a free Blogger blog to get their email address.

Yes you can use blogger to create list, I did. You can easily turn the home page as a splash page to to sign up for a list. I bought a domain name and hosted it with blogger for free. I will able to make a strong list on it.

Just to clarify for anyone else reading this thread, who might mistakenly imagine that that's a safer way to do it - it simply isn't: using your own domain-name with Blogger hosting, rather than one of their sub-domains, makes absolutely no difference to the terms of service, their interpretations, or the way they apply to you. It's still taking the chance that your blog can suddenly be removed.

There are large numbers of threads here (some linked to above) in which very large numbers of Warriors patiently explain why this is such an ill-conceived and misguided idea.

This is all part of the value of the Warrior Forum, and is why they've taken the trouble to post: so that you can learn from their mistakes and avoid repeating them.

Google loves Google and I've found three year old dormant Blogger sites ranked highly still.

Blogger still is good for simple blogs and landing sites but always to own your sites
