    Hi

All that information should be in the Terms of Service at BlueHost.

If you ask those questions from BlueHost support, you may get more information on why you were deactivated.

Unless Bluehost monitor WF your best bet is to contact them directly. I will add that your chances of re-inclusion may not be good.

Most affiliate programs have a stipulation that you cannot use the brand name in ppc campaigns. Sounds like that might have been a problem. It certainly is a pain in the neck reading legalese, but sometimes you have to do it.

Some affiliate programs have points like this summed up in simple language somewhere.

Why not just go to one of the other web hosts selling "unlimited everything" and sign up for their program...they're all the same right?

Stop Spamming & follow the rules of the program.

EDIT: Although, on the other hand it sounds exactly like the typical "corporate greed" scenario. You refer customers and end up having a higher payout, then some reason is found that you've violated the TOS.

If you're out to make a couple bucks only, move on to the next one. If you're genuinely looking to refer people to quality services, do better research. If they're on a top 10 list, it's because they're the top paying affiliates, not because of the quality of service. Hey, if we had tons of cash laying around and could pay affiliates $50+ per sale, we'd be on the list too.

Why are people telling the OP to stop spamming? No where did he mention anything even closely related to spam. PPC, the only method he mentioned, is not spam.

Because 9 out of 10 people who are "shortening" affiliate links are link dropping every place they can put it. Hence, spamming.

Why shorten the link unless you're trying to hide the fact that it's an affiliate link. Start dropping affiliate links in various web dev or web hosting forums and you're sure to get banned from the forum as well as your affiliate account shut down.

I am VERY suspicious of web hosting affiliate programs. I used to do web design and referred plenty of legitimate customers to various services. Some were (generally) OK, while others were downright terrible.

I had one month where I earned just under $1,200 in referrals to a single company and had my affiliate account terminated 2 days before payment. After a month of nagging affiliate support I finally got a reply.

"We're sorry. We don't accept affiliate sites." That confused the heck out of me. Some of my clients wanted to promote Amazon products, or use Adsense, etc. Apparently this was against some vague TOS. After another few weeks of nagging I finally got another reply: "Rich Jerk type sites are against our terms of service."

I wanted to bang my head up against the wall. Apparently a site with golf tips and an Amazon banner linking to golf clubs is a "Rich Jerk" type of site. To this day I cannot comprehend the stupidity of that hosting company and its affiliate manager.

Don't you think that mentioning the hosting company would do a lot of people some good? I would have loved to be an affiliate for one these hosting company, but stories like this have often put me off.

I didn't really want to mention them by name since it's been so long and it might not be fair. (They could be completely different now, for all I know.) I will, however, mention a few companies that I've had great experiences with:

        EasyCGI
        JustHost
        PowWeb
        HostMonster

You where using PPC to advertise their hosting program as an affiliate? And it was making you money? Something seems a little bit off here... you weren't using their brand name in any way that is was not allowed, were you?
