Introduction and need some help with lists

Hi everyone my names Helena, I'm new to this forum and this is my first post. I've been reading a lot but can't decide what to do about building my list. Can any of you point me in the right direction.

Some of the methods I've learned for list building are:

- squeeze page
- blog (call to action) offer a freebie

and basically this is all I know, are there any other ways to get people to sign on? Thanks for the help

    Ive found that if you personally help somebody with something just ask them to join mainly. They might feel obligated because you have helped them.

    Give value, then after offer to have them sign up for more value.

    This way they get a taste of what they could get if they sign up.

    After getting a freebie, autoresponder and squeeze page set up, you will need to drive traffic. Some of the ways to drive traffic to your squeeze page include article marketing, blog commenting, forum posting etc. Or you can try using paid traffic as well.

    You can also build a list through a targeted membership site or through video that allows embedded optin forms or through contest registration or through CPA. There are all kinds of ways, but yes, in the end the name of the game is traffic.

    I prefer to get traffic through video. I think it's one of the easiest ways.

    Hope this is on-topic enough, but can anyone recommend a good source of optin forms and squeeze pages? The optin forms with GetResponse are pretty clunky.
    Are there choices that work with multiple Wordpress sites, in the Wdiget area for example?

    You are on the right track with a squeeze page and a freebie to get the opt in.

    But the best traffic driving methods will depend on the niche you are in.

    Forum marketing (like everybody here is doing here with an ad in the sig) can be an excellent way to drive high quality traffic to your squeeze page.

    If you are in a low competition niche, it may be worth setting up a keyword optimized blog and doing some SEO to get some traffic from google.

    Another way is to do a google search for other marketers with an existing list in your niche and ask them how much they would charge for a solo ad.

    It is good to know that you want to learn about list building. It is best way to go about making money online.

    1. First of all, you'll need a good hungry niche that you have a command on or you are interested.
    2. Then, a good freebie. This should be high quality to make a good opening relationship with your leads.
    3. Squeeze page, from where your visitors sign up to your list.
    4. Autoresponder, to store and email your list.

    Now you need to send traffic to your squeeze page. How it could be done there are lots of ways. Some of them are paid and some free. Its your choice.

    1. PPC
    2. Forums sig. and banners
    3. Youtube traffic.
    4. Create a blog and provide freebie when they sign up to your list.
    5. Solo ads
    6. JV Giveaways
    7. Facebook, Twitter, G+, Pinterest

    These are few. Search more about them in detail. Its a vast subject.

      Above many warriors suggested various techniques to build list, but one name they might have not mentioned. Yes, Forums are very important to build list. At this great Warrior forum all the internet marketers are sharing their knowledge, and while doing they are earning huge money using various techniques. If you are in internet marketing niche then you can build list using this forums 'signature' and publishing Warrior special Offer (WSO), To publish WSO you have to become paid member. You can forums as tool to build list no matter in which niche you are. I think this will help you lot more. You can get detail information about signature and WSO just searching this forum.

    Hi Helena, I joined in 2011 but I just started posting 3 day ago. Yeah, you need a squeeze page but you also need an auto responder with follow up messages. Your blog can be used for SEO but I would consecrate on sending traffic to your squeeze page (building your list). Do you have a squeeze page? I can give you a squeeze page marker, FREE! Let me know.
