I found a few websites owned by the same person, and that person uses the same formula for his header banners, but I have no idea how it's done, so I was hoping someone here could give me a clue or two, as I really like the way the sites look. Here are a couple of them: Best Sport Accessories on the Net - Home Best Security Systems on the Net Best Ipods Prices on the Net - Home The header banners are all the same format. Is there a tool that this person uses, or what? I'm at a loss. Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you for any help. |

FYI: These sites use a Joomla CMS but that doesn't matter. To answer your question any header image can be done using photoshop or even a free program called Gimp. To be honest those header images are very weak. I suggest getting pro graphics. If you look in the WSO section their is a warrior that does graphics for $19 for just a header. He does great work. That's Joomla with an ecommerce plug-in and a template that must be working for him.

It's just three images pasted into one, with the text image (transparent background) pasted over the top. I'm not sure what's so special about it to be honest. The header isn't clickable anywhere and displays no H1 text for the search engines to chew (I can't see an H1 tag anywhere on the page at all). Unless I've misunderstood the question, you just need an image editor to do the same thing. It's not something I'd be modeling my efforts on though. |

You use a program like Photoshop or Gimp and insert whatever pictures relate to the niche you're promoting. Those are really very basic banners. It probably took them 5 minutes each to create. Tsnyder |

I agree there not really that great very basic and dated, you can do your own with photoshop or gimp. As a side note if you do a search for warrior "BigMike" he has a list you can join where you get mailed a new header graphic everyday for free and there a lot better than those ones, of course if you took sometime and did your own that would be the best option. Thank you for the replies. Quickness and attractiveness are my goals. I'll have to check out Gimp, I've never heard of it. Thanks again. |
