Is there a toolbar or software that can do this??

I get sick of bouncing from site to site to check emails and messages. Its a huge time waster. Is there a toolbar or something that can do this...

Alert: You have mail at gmail
Alert you have mail at yahoo
Alert: theres a new post at your favorite forum
Alert: you have a PM at this site

    I have this function on my Mac, I use this - Growl

    If your on Windows i'm not sure of an alternative, but you could sell it I suppose..

      Wow! So actually there is something that could ease up our job? Even if I use Windows, it is a relief to know that somebody thought of creating such an amazing tool to help people save time. I am waiting for the Windows version. :-)

        You can use it to notify an event in programs, emails, twitter, etc etc. It sits in my toolbar and I get a pop up as events happen. Macs are more intuitive than Windows I'm afraid which is why I'll always recommend them.

        Well there you go, I didn't even know that. Problem solved, it does it all for me.

        I set up the forum settings to subscribe me to a thread as I post, then to email me when there is a new post. I then setup up an email to capture all these notifications and setup up Growl to notify me as I get an email from that address in my client (Mail). Its very convenient and works for me.
