Do you ever create your own sales page?

Hello All

I have read some posts on this forum regarding marketing clickbank products.

One person stated that they never promote products that have a email signup (because your customer will go into their sales funnel and if they buy at a later date you get no commisiion). And another reason is that alot of products have the "Downsell" I.E. the product sells for $59.00 and you get a 50% commission. If customer clicks away from product they get a popup offering A discount, This could happen more than once with the sales price dropping from $59.00 $9.00 thus reducing your potential commission on the sale from $30.00 to $4.50

So I was wondering if anybody that promotes CB products ever uses something like Optimize Press to make their own Sales page. Basically duplicating the sales page but the email signup would go to your own auto responder, and the "Buy Now" button going directly to transaction page eliminating the downsells?

Another option I thought of is to contact the owner of the product and ask if they would "Dropship" the product. I would take care of the marketing and sales and I would pay the creator per sale. Or even just buy the resell rights.

What are your thoughts

Thank You
Al

Most product creators will give you an affiliate link that opens into a buy now if you want to do your own presentation.

I haven't used clickbank in years as I find it better for me to work with private systems but you should be able to contact the product creator and start a direct dialogue with them.

Several product creators run their own private affiliate programs for people that can send more targeted traffic than the average Joe. Although I haven't gave it a fair chance by no means .. JVZoo.com would be my choice of public affiliate programs if I were to go that route.

    Some do, yes.

Note that according to ClickBank's policies, you need the vendor's permission to link directly to the order-page, bypassing his sales page.

Note also that you won't be setting your affiliate cookie on your prospective customers' computers, if you do it that way. You'll be paid your affiliate commission on the ones who buy immediately, but if any go back to the vendor's sales page (e.g. through a Google search) and buy later, you'll lose out on all those because they don't carry your cookie.

It's always worth asking the vendor for an alternate sales-page without his opt-in on it. Professional vendors understand that almost no serious affiliate is going to send his traffic to a sales-page with a vendor's opt-in on it anyway, and they often either have an unpublicised one available, or they'll put one up for you, if you sound serious and ask nicely. For me, that's a better solution.

You're clearly right not to send your traffic to a page from which the vendor is building his own list: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...oduct-opt.html
