Hello warriors,

I have purchased few quality articles from one website and publishing it regularly on my new blog. But by few research I found that some other blog is copying my content without giving linkback to me.

I want to report this to Google as that copycat breaking my copyrights.

Plz tell me the right way to do this and give me direct link to report this to Google (if any)

Thanks,
VGM

Send them a cease and desist letter, and if that doesn't work, get it in touch with their host.

In most cases they will take the site down.

This is getting ridiculous, almost every day we hear a story of someone stealing content.

Maybe one day google will invent a way to prevent this.

Did the other site purchase the articles too? It's rare that articles are only sold once. Check the details where you bought them.

Yes, if you purchased articles from someone, there is a good chance that they have bought the same thing.

Why buy articles? Why not write your own?

        Well Wade,

Not everyone is cut out for writing and those that do acknowledge this and want successful business do out source the writing of their content.

Encouraging everyone to write their own content regardless of writing skill or talent leads to sites like the one we've been discussing in this thread.

Get a G+ profile and link all of the original material you publish on a specific domain to your profile. I would further recommend that you publish all new material under the name of the persona that is on the G+ profile. Google will always know who the original author is if you do that

Sue them for copyright infringement. Win on default judgement when they don't show up for the court date. Put a lien on their house and car for the judgement amount.

I've actually just done the same.

I found blogspot to be riddled with content stolen from my websites.

And I have to spend my time submitting these reports to tell google!

When ever I update my sites I normally rebuild the sitemap, resubmit the sitemap to webmaster tools and then update my blog to show to google that I have released new content on my site.

This makes no difference at all, days, weeks or months later people are still stealing my content and whacking whole pages from my site onto blogspot, including using all my images as well.

Basically Blogspot is full of stolen material.

All I do is copy a few lines or one long sentence from one of articles and google it between “ “ and wham pages full of my stolen content.

Run the first couple of sentences through Google search and see how many times the article shows up. If this is PLR or syndicated content you could be the one who looks foolish in the end.

Did Henry Ford build all the cars for the Ford Motor Company? No he left that to the skilled workers in each area and that's why he was so successful. There are many reasons to not write your own articles. You may not be a good writer, there may not be enough time in the day to get all seo things done and write articles, there is no way to write articles for multiple sites everyday, your blog may be very broad so you don't know enough about the subject. There are so many reasons to not do it. I know one of my blogs I write everything because I am so interested in the topic and pretty knowledgeable. On the other site I really don't know much about the topic so I outsource it.

Virtual theft is getting more and more annoying these days! You can report, but it is so exhausting and time consuming until Google solves milions of requests.
Aren't there some ways to prevent it from happening?

Yeah but I am finding that most of the time the host is Google

Like I have said Blogspot is jammed full of stolen content.

At the moment I am going through 1 request and its been time consuming on my behalf, I have found maybe 100 articles have been copied from my sites and posted elsewhere, its would take months of my time to sort all of them out.

yeah unfortunately there are many copiers on Internet these days
if they have their own website, contact their hosting company, They'll probably help you
if they are using free services like blogspot you can file a report on that website
It's the best you can do, I don't think suing them is a good option unless you are making lots of money from your content

If you use Wordpress as your blogging platform, you could use the plugin called "PubSubHubbub" (I love the name). This plugin will help you beat content scrapers using Fat Pings. When you publish a blog post, it will instantly ping Google, and that is the strongest signal to the search engine that you are the original author.

And then, always include a couple of links in your posts to your own site. Some scrapers will strip off any links in your posts, but some others won't. That's now free (low quality) links! And also Google considers you a reputable source of quality content that (kind of) gets syndicated. Google knows a thing or two about scrapers, after all, their spider/bot is just that, the biggest scraper of them all.

If you ask me, I wouldn't send any cease and desist request to any scraper. They are now working for you!

I have reported to google about copycat, they said that "We have received your legal request. We receive many such complaints each day; your message is in our queue, and we'll get to it as quickly as our workload permits."

Anyone knows that what time it will take to remove my copied content from that bloggers blog?

Yeah ! Google gets thousands of such requests every day. They handle it manually. So definitely it will take time. Might a week or two.

Lol it's an auto response as usual from them. Well you need to wait and see for their action. For the mean time do other ways to solve this problem.

      1. Contact directly the site owner, maybe someone sold the article to him. If that's happened for sure they will remove that content from their site. But check if the article posted is newer or older than yours maybe the article provider you paid sell it multiple copy.

      2. If 1 don't work contact the hosting, most hosting specially if they are base in US will act immediately about this kind of problem.

      3. Report the site for duplicate content...

Just send DMCA take down notices to the site owner (via contact details on site or whois) and the host.

Plenty of templates for them around in you search

You have contacted Google ... let them work on it. How much money do you think that article has cost you sitting on the scrapper's blog? How much could you have made if you had reported them when you first saw the article and then went about your marketing endeavors?

Sometimes the site that is using your content could be innocent from stealing something already published in your site. Try contacting the one whom you bought the articles from. There are times when they resell the articles to someone to make additional profit. If they deny it, try not working with them again.

Glad to hear that Google already made some action regarding the plagiarized content.
