Single Optin vs Double Optin
Hey warriors
I haven't found a specific section for email marketing thread so posting here.
I'm a bit puzzled now with a dilemma:
Single Optin or Double Optin for my email marketing campaigns...
The problem are:
1. When I'm running Single Optin campaign I've got my open and click rate growing veeery slowly, it's plainly obvious that people are just signing up with secondary emails or even fake emails...
2. Whereas when I switch Double optin ON I've got only around 45% of all subscribers confirming their emails... (that's unbelievably low!!!)
I've read quite a few case studies where savvy email marketers recommend to stick with double optin, but I really am very hesitant about that when 55% of all subscribers go down the drain.
Or maybe those 55% of subscribers that don't confirm are those who are signing up with fake emails just for sake of getting a freeibe and I'm not interested to get them on my list?
Please advice, I'm really lost in deciding which way is better, need professional advice.
