    You should have a better turnaround. Google punishes sites that have slow page loads / bad uptime. A vps should have an edge there.

      Not necessarily true. It depends on the specs of the VPS. Most shared hosting environments are more powerful than a standard VPS. The main difference is that you'll be isolated in your own container & have somewhat dedicated resources.

      If you're using cPanel, I'd suggest at least 512M of RAM and look for a provider that hosts on RAID 10 arrays with their nodes. Most nodes used for VPS's are pretty powerful given that the company providing them is actually using good quality nodes. For example, each of our VPS host nodes has a minimum of 24GB RAM with a strict limit on the number of containers on each node.

      Don't always go for the cheapest, as you'll get what you pay for.
