Congratulations on your first sale. Listen, now you know the importance of tracking your links. If you don't know where your sales are coming from then you cannot increase conversions and scale up. I know it's early days but in the beginning is when you must start learning this stuff - same goes for list building.

Yeah, like Resced said you need to track all your advertising.

If you've only made 1 sale in 3 months there is something seriously wrong.

How much traffic did you get to make that 1 sale?

I have tried different ventures over the last 3 months, I meant in total I have been trying for 3 months and this is the first time anything worked. I made about $80.00 from Adsense in the past but received no payout as google only makes a payment by check once you have reached $100.00. This was very time consuming and was hard work to get traffic to my site.

I have only been trying this product for about 10 days and have finally made my first sale and I am over the moon!!!

I got a voucher from Google for joining Adwords and this was the only money spent on advertising so far. The Facebook ads I referred to was joining groups related to my product and then commenting and posting relevant and good comments and every 7th post I would put a link to my site and a little text selling it.

I think this is where the sale came from, honestly.

Ok, everyone is referring to tracking. Like I mentioned in another thread I am very new at affiliate marketing, how does one track your link? I have seen the tracking code once you click on promote but I have no clue how to use this. Can you guys please help me with regards to the tracking?

Congrats on your first sale. The best way to get visitors to a tattoo site is through tons of tattoo images. These buyers love the images of tattoos.

For basic CB tracking:

affiliate.vendor.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=TRACKINGID

Simply replace "TRACKINGID" with a meaningful identifier for your campaign. If you're using an encrypted affiliate link it would still end with .hop.clickbank.net/?tid=TRACKINGID

This is what I thought and exactly the reason why I started a facebook page and targeting competitors' pages with the ads. I know it is a very visual market. Also the reason for not writing articles. Thinking of starting a blog and posting some tattoo pics on there.

You need to embed the tracking ID in the link so that you can clearly see what's working and what's not working. If you don't track everything, you will not be able to optimize your campaigns which is crucial to success. Congratulations on that first sale

Hey Owen. You should make some videos and promote them on Youtube. There are a lot of keywords searches related to "tattoo design" and they get a lot of views. It's definitely a popular topic on Youtube. So, go siphon some traffic from there.

I have a few ideas of what videos you could make

1- Go to a local Tattoo shop in town. Talk to the owner and see if he/she will let you or him/her take some video of people he just finished up on or even pictures. Get permission to use the video or pictures as you please. edit and make like tattoo montages add some creative commons music to the vid via YT and upload
I know when I got my tattoo he took a picture right after it was done and I never thought twice about it so maybe the owner will give it to you. He/She may even like the idea of letting you use it and maybe including his name and tattoo shop.

2- Just a thought (have no clue how you could get it done but) buy stock photo pictures. I have bought from photodune.net (not affiliate link) only one I found that you could put $20 credit on buy pics and rights for $1-$2. make some type of slideshow/montage and use some type of capture screen recorder to record it edit and upload

Congratulations! I'm glad to see you made your first sale. I hope to be in your shoes one of these days. I am right now working on finding my first niche. I don't want to take too much time doing it. But the point is I am following all the steps I've learned, researching the right keywords and doing good SEO. It sounds like you've done the same. Hopefully, I'll be on here telling everyone I made my first sale one of these days too!!

You've done what alot of people are afraid to do or doubt will work - you made money online. You should pat yourself on the back. I know it wasn't a HUGE sale, but it's money you didn't have yesterday or 2 days ago. From your post, however, it sounds like you may need a mentor or coach to show you how to increase your sales even further. I'm sure one of these novices on here can give you some great ideas from here on. Grats!

Good job dude. A tattoo gallery can be promoted in the same way anything else is promote. But make sure you get them on Google Places, and have them active with low cost PPC local marketing.

Congratulations friend, very happy to hear about your 1st success. I still remember my 1st sale with a Youtube video. I never expected to make money online. But that 1 sale made me so motivated and I never saw back again.
