How much should I bid?

Hi, I am looking to start a dieting blog and am interested in the following domains. The problem is they all say "make offer" and I have no clue what to offer.

If anyone can help with any valuations it would be very much appreciated. (I have put them in the order of the ones I would like most)

Are any of these worth less than $2500?

iweightloss.com
weightlossdiet.com
dietweightloss.com
weightlosshelp.com
e-diet.com

Many thanks

Danny

    Hi Danny,

I've been in the domaining business since 2004 and stop it on 2009 I guess. Why I did this, because the values of domain are keep dropping. But back to your question. For me if the domain have no content and they are drop domains there are not much value. You need to investigate the domains why the original owner drop them.

If you plan to get traffic from google for these domains you make sure that they were not penalized by google before deciding to buy them...

For the price ,if I am the one to buy this domains my offer is from $20 - $50 only. Unless they are your brand domains

don't pay more than $100 on them unless they have had useful content on them before
the better approach would be to think a while and find a name which is not used

Thanks for the replies, the main ones I am interested in are:

Iweightloss.com was registered in 1999 and hasn't been dropped, it has a Quantcast Rank:#179,430 whatever that means.

weightlossdiet was registered in 2001 and hasn't been dropped, it has an alexa rank in the last 3 months of 6,583,205.

they surely must cost more than $100?

It means I own all of the domains. So if you want to buy them, you'll have to buy them from me. And I want a lot of money for them.

Facepalms. No, I do not own the domains. I was jokingly referring to the potential hazard of someone else picking up the domains and charging a fortune now that they know you want them, something that happens more than you would think.

I know your right but I just needed some advice, I am very honest and would never screw someone over, but I know that in this world you can't trust anyone.

If they want it they can have it. Unfortunately I have no where else to turn

Personally, my advice would be to come up with a creative domain name of your own and build a brand around that if you aren't able/willing to spend the money. Remove the possibility of getting screwed over from the equation completely.

Every domain on the internet hasn't been taken yet, so that's not true .

would it not be ridiculously difficult to achieve rank with a brand new domain in the weight loss niche?

Do you really think that the domain name alone is going to protect rank when you're still attaching a brand new website/content on top of it?

You don't even have assurance that you can rank well from old domains. You don't even know what is the history of those domains. Maybe in the past they were mark as bad sites by search engines that is the reason why the original content was lose.

A new site can outrank older sites if you do it correctly. But of course same effort needed. The only advantage of having new domain is that you are sure that there is no bad reputation of the domain you're using.

Joseph is quite right see if you can find a good domain name no one owns for your site there are plenty out there,

I am working on a project to do with internet publicity and found the following today.

This is not a sales page as I have not reaaly started work on the website yet.

I've purchased quite a few domains from other people just by surfing around, finding a domain name I like and then contacting the owner. I suggest staying in the $100 - $250 range if you really want a domain name.

Some people want super high prices, so I'd ignore those people altogether. Also, if the person is using a 3rd party to negotiate the deal, they almost always want way too much money too.

              Good luck!

The first domain is working domain, I guess it's more expensive if the site is making money, usually it cost monthly earnings X 12-24months earnings plus other factor. The second domain is park
