Lets talk email marketing/list building

I would like to know how fast you build your list. How many people sign up per day?

Whats the most sign ups in one day you have gotten?

Now how do you convert them into buyers?

Trying to come up with more ideas to get a better conversion rate.

Thanks

My favorite subject. You can build a list as fast as you want. It all depends on how much money you want to spend. I have about 2 or 3 people a day join my list from here and between 50 and 100 when I do a solo ad.

You can't turn subscribers in to buyers unless they already are; that is, they are a list of people who bought your products and services. Solo ads take you one step closer, because supposedly they are compiled previously of buyers.

Getting someone to subscribe is easy, they'll take any free thing you send their way. The list needs to be of buyers, not freebie takers.

So then whats the point of the freebie takers list?

I find it very easy now to build a "freebie list". I get opens and click through's, very little buyers.

I thought a free list is how you start a buyers list.

What other ways are there to build a buyers list?

Build a list from a sales page?

        SEO buyer keywords?

What do you mean by "solo ad"?

    Hi Justin,

The first way you acquired someone's
attention is one of the things you are
going to have to keep on doing to keep
    there attention.

You want a better conversion rate of
    optins?
    opens?
    clickthroughs?

Mate just think about being in the places
that matter - places where gangs of people
are online everyday and start putting out
what people want - not necessarily what
    they need.

Your facebook fan page - start publishing
more content - at least one post - two a
    day

To be serious publish at least 12 posts a day

You should do the same on twitter - push
    somewhere in between 40 - 60 tweets a day
    on niche made twitter accounts.

I would advise on sending them to content
not just a clickbank page - else you will have
to be generating as many followers a day as
    i advise sending out tweets

Its about being in places, consistently and
preparing things people are in need of, give it
away in the form of notifying people on
some online property - preferably social
    media

Send them to content and then have an option
    for more via newsletter.

Do this consistently, some people will not join
newsletters simply because they think they
will get spammed like the last wannabe marketer

so you have to keep on piling on great content

Let me just put it this way.

If you are willing to pay some money on a daily basis for ads on Google and Yahoo, you can see a nice spike in subscribers each and every day. I could easily generate 20-40 leads per day but the majority of them come from PPC and some from my articles.

There are so many free techniques that you can use but just know that it will take more time for you to build a large list.

You can still turn "free" subscribers into buyers. It's actually technically easy. You just put an opt-in form for your buyers list at the page the buyer is being directed into after he purchase your product.

Of course it's not easy to make a regular subscriber become a buyer, but with good product and good copywriting skills, it's absolutely possible.

How much a day in ads do you think is a good starting point.

And that's ads to a sales page of a product?

Firstly I will say that the most important part of building a list is what you give away for free

If it`s garbage then you will be known as "the guy that gives away garbage" and you will lose all credibility from the start

Create a good free offer to build your list

Then have a very relevant paid offer as well so that you can build a list of buyers and separate the freebie seekers from the buyers

Your first product does not have to be expensive, $5 - $17 is fine for your low ticket product

Once people buy you can then send them deeper into your sales funnel where you can introduce more expensive products to them

As for building an email list fast, solo ads and ppc work great but just make sure you have a half decent sales funnel set up otherwise it will cost you an arm and a leg

Your saying I should have two lists with the same niche. 1 freebie 1 buyer

It all depends on the offer.. I know it might sound like a cop out but it is very true. Your optin form is s sales page all of its own. If people feel compelled to sign up.. They will! As and indicator, I have had a 40% optin from a solo ad run I have been experimenting with lately.. They are basically signing up for a free (but useful) product I am giving away.

Hosting a Giveaway event is a great way to build a subscriber list. Takes some work on your part, but is definitely worth the effort.
