Freebie delivering problem

Hi.
I'm building an e-mail list for my business and I just got a business partner who runs a web service, and every people that subscribe to my list will get a one year free access to his service (and he will make money with the renewals after the first year).
I'm wondering that how should I do this? I think the best way would be some kind of coupon that the subscribers would receive after submitting their email, but how do I do that? What do you think is the best option?

Anyone? I'd really appreciate if someone would help me with this, I haven't found a way myself.

Don't use a coupon unless you don't mind those people sharing it with the world. If you don't want them to share it, then I would just send them an email right away(like an autoresponder) with the information they need to sign up on your partner's site. You can use a URL with a unique code for that single user, example yourPartnersSite.com?ref_id=XcDhfY8eH. Once the registration is complete on your partner's site, they would have to disable that unique code so it can't be used again. This is pretty simple to do, but you will need your partner's help to track the registration codes.

Thank you very much for your time! I was thinking about unique coupons, but this is much simplier!

      There's a one question I have though:
In practice, how do I do this? I'm not very good at programming.

EDIT: I checked out trendpulse - awesome idea! Good luck with that.

A couon does sound like a good idea, perhaps these coupons have unique codes so you can easily identify which people off yor list go ahead with it, that way to could try persuade the others at a latter date....

I think that the unique URL way is better, thank you though.

I found some scripts for unique link generation but how can I do the rest?
My partners site have to know that the people coming through my unique links are able to get a freebie - how is this possible?
