The power of the magical word 'Review'

For people who know what I am talking about, you may have already experienced the power of the word 'review'.

'Review' is a magic word which attracts only high quality serious people to your content. They are the people who are in the verge of buying something and are generally more qualified than the average internet user. They are the 'almost buyers'.

I built a blog around the keyword 'review' in the niche of Indian Motorcycle Reviews. The blog gets 15,000 uniques per day. (Yes, you read it right!) and nearly 1 million page views per month. I am not posting reviews just for sending traffic to my affiliate link, the site earns only through display advertising. (I wouldn't do that now, I started the site 4 years back).

The blog's readers are highly interactive and a major portion of the site was built by my readers. My readers would post reviews of their newly purchased motorcycle. Sometimes the reviews would be 1000-4000 words long filled with high quality photos which would beat the quality of our own articles.

...and such engagement is possible because I attracted high quality people in the first place with the magic word: REVIEW.

We have 65,000 subscribers now and I recently realised that though I can't sell an info product in this niche or do any affiliate promotion, my readers are more sophisticated than the average internet user... because they came looking for my blog and became my subscriber through the golden word: 'review'.

So my conclusion is that the word 'Review' need not be used only to send traffic to affiliate links (which is a great sniping method per se) but you can also review a product in your blog to attract the kind of people who you NEED as subscribers even if there is no affiliate program for that product.

And don't forget video reviews
