Why not set up a blog and stick those articles on there first?

I agree with KoreanCowboy, I would set up a website and work on it and let it rank for key words. You will own your hard work and you have more room to navigate and sell any products you want.

To answer your question - I made just 0.32 for seven articles in about two weeks - all on HubPages. I have the same number of lenses on Squidoo, and have earned absolutely ZERO. Therefore, if this is the route that you want to take, go with HubPages over Squidoo for better results. Helium is also a good option.

I also have my own blog, and I try to link to my blog in my articles on HubPages, Squidoo, and Helium, and I also link to my articles on those sites from my blog. I have seen an increase in traffic to my blog from HubPages and Helium, but not from Squidoo...haven't quite figured out what I'm doing wrong on Squidoo, but it must be something.

    Hope this helps you!

I would agree with these other guys. Create your website and just write articles on it for about a month. Then After the first month write articles for Squidoo and Hubpages while also continuing to blog on your website.

My record on Squidoo is 4-figure payday and now waiting for Halloween to brake my record. When I had about 50 lenses, I earned 3 figure paydays. Now I have 120+, 20 made now in August. I monetize my lenses with Amazon and eBay, but in the near future I will look into monetizing with Clickbank products, commissions are much higher there.

Squidoo i have 12 articles which pays me nothing.
On hubpages i make about 60 dollars a month, i think also that you should start your own blogs instead

I'm not even remotely an expert on this, but I have a suspicion that when people talk about writing articles and then "submitting" them to Squidoo, they are going about squidoo in the wrong way, at least, based on what I have seen. Squidoo is not an article directory, nor even close.

I'd suggest you take a look at a bunch of lens that are ranking well, and I think you'll find that the common thread is community, interactivity, and such.

I've been doing a lens experiment over the past week, and I barely have a paragraph or two of original text on it, but I getting good feedback from making use of their modules and stuff.

I'm not a fan of either.
As it was said, you should create your own blog and write there.
You can also use a site like Textbroker for writing articles as well.

You hit it on the nail...and that seems to be what Google is looking at these days too.
