Blogger And Youtube Rank Like Crazy~ (Rant)

I was reviewing some of my stats for different videos and content that I've created with blogger, and I can say for sure that blogger.com and youtube.com are ranking like crazy!

I don't know if it's a panda update, or what, but I know one thing is for sure, Google will NEVER slap their own websites. Youtube and blogger are out ranking almost all of my niche websites, and should be apart of any free traffic arsenal.

Another thing I want to note, one of my best ranking videos I used only 1 tag, and the keyword in the title and description, you have to test things out and don't get discouraged when a video doesn't do well.

You gotta think momentum, and creating useful information for the end user based upon what they want. And performing some Google searches and using yahoo answers helps with this process.

    I always tell people to take advantage of sites like YouTube, Blogger, etc. I've got a ton of videos sitting on page 1 that took very little effort to create and rank.

    Google will slap there own websites
    if you upload content that is not deemed
    ethical

    Benefit of blogger is that you can have
    a long tail keyword that gets alot of
    searches

    *cough *cough wordtracker

    to rank on the first page of Google

    with jujst the right name of the blogger
    and a really good and detailed post

    then you can let them be and they will
    gain authority and then you can use these
    as great sites to get your new websites or
    webpages indexed quickly

    I posted this on another thread. I created a video for Youtube and targeted a keyword with about 1200 global exact searches. I wrote a small article for the description, used tags etc and uploaded it in April. It made page 1 of Google within a few days, I have built no links, added no likes or comments to game the system and it is still there today, sat on page 1. I haven't touched it and did it purely as a test. You could build an entire business with little work just on Youtube. I have made many more videos since and I will continue to do so.

      How many actual visitors are you getting from 1200 estimated. searches? Are you top fold? Are you making any sales from the keyword?

        It is position 8 atm on page 1. The video has received around 300 hits, its not a lot but with some backlinks and position 1, I would expect to get a lot more. That video has made a few sales with a Clickbank product costing $25.

        Also, it isn't ranked on Youtube and is lost when you search on there. If you get some comments, likes etc you can rank it on Youtube as well which I imagine would increase its views considerably more.

        I have done a few videos since and made money, but I mainly build websites. I have plans however to make a lot of videos soon and actually rank them properly. I make the videos on my computer rather than Animoto, and take time to make them engaging. I also write a proper article, almost like a blog post including the keywords and some LSI words.

        The one I am talking about was done purely as a test, I wanted to see what happened naturally with no links etc, to see if it fell away over time but I can honestly say it is still sat there on both google.com, and google.co.uk page 1.

        I'd actually forgot about it to be honest as I've been so busy, but I was looking through things the other day and remembered it, I'm pretty shocked to be honest. I am going to return to videos and use some software that will upload them not just to Youtube, but to Metacafe, Vimeo etc as well. This will bring in a lot more traffic. I will surely post up some reports of my findings or create a guide whenever I get round to it.

          Also promoting Amazon on either blogger or squidoo ranks really high with little effort. Google likes both Amazon and squidoo so when you combine these and video too you can rank really well.

    I figured out this one a long ago. All my review sites are on blogger (no domain) and all my Youtube videos are on Page 1. But never overoptimize your Blogger blogs, then you might lose your rankings and authority. Also, always create unique content for your blog, there are many cases where bloggers blogs where shut down due to spam content.

    YouTube videos will *always* have a huge presence
    on Google - BUT what they will do is only feature the
    videos that are providing PURE VALUABLE CONTENT.

    At the moment I'm making a killing with traffic from
    'VALUABLE' YouTube videos on the Google SERP'S and
    this news is just music to my ears!
