Ok, who is making a lot of passive income online?

I thought I'd start this post as a resource. No, I'm not going to come rob you (I'm a college student with plenty of my own problems).

Instead, this can help others to see people who aren't struggling but have actually made the leap to making a big passive income monthly after expenses/taxes, maybe take home of $5K or more.

If so,

1) How do you do it? Adsense? Amazon?Ebooks? What Niche? (services aren't passive, don't count!)
2) How long did it take you, and is it pretty steady? How long has it been steady?
3) Is it on autopilot?

Too much to cover in one post, I've tried lots of methods, tons of them when I was younger and then I just stuck with one that was producing results and scaled it over and over. Modified that one method into new strategies to deal with market and profit accordingly. It took me close to ten years, but if I had to teach someone and they were spot on with advice a few daily meeting for a few weeks would suffice to get the ball rolling for them. It's been steady for years, I haven't been forced to expirement, but I choose to do so on my own to explore the market. Some sites are and some sites aren't on autopilot, I like a good mix.

Would you be willing to share with a high potential earner? I design, build, launch my own sites, and I'm pretty damn good at it. Interested in hearing about your network of sites, I could surely come up with my own, but would be interested to hear your advice...if you are willing. I could get up and going with a bunch of really well designed, branded, niche sites, with a little guidance on the tactics/strategy etc.

Stay tunned. I've been considering doing a WSO in the future, maybe I'll finally get one going, I've been doing this for so long maybe it's time to share it.. Not sure yet.

May I PM you? I'm pretty good at developing properties on the web that work but fall into the guideliness, we might be able to help each other. Example: my last project netted over $12K in two days (an ebook, non internet marketing related) into my paypal account (500 sales).

Are you one of those lucky people that gets a fat adsense check from google every two weeks in the $xx,000 range?

I'm not really sure if "passive income" truly exists. I don't have any adsense sites. I read a few horror stories. And I just would be nervous and think 1 day you adsense is banned for whatever google reason.

As long as you follow the guidelines you'll be fine. The people who have horror stories are usually the ones who "cheat" or do something against the TOS. I'd say 15% have real issues, by the rest all did something wrong one way or another.. I've been with Adsese for years and years, it's been forever still enjoying an income from it.

I am not making passive income...and though I have heard that there are many ways in which it can be done, I am skeptical about this as I have not found a good way.

I was wondering what you meant with that post. Thanks for explaining it, now I see the humor

I have been making passive income steadily from my network of sites. At one time, I had over 1,000 websites in my portfolio. You can only imagine the renewal fees They were all monetized with Adsense. 10% of the websites earned 85% of the income. That's how it goes with Adsense. It's like trying to shoot a mosquito with a shotgun. You have to keep shooting over and over and over until you finally hit the target.

Now I've realized that there are two approaches to niche site building. The first one, the method I use for stable income is through authority niche sites with hundreds of articles each. The second approach is through building small, highly targeted niche sites, getting ranked and monetized and selling them off quickly. This is a 30-60 day cycle. Long term, I only go with the larger sites now.

This is now passive income because I just have to check the stats, and I take the profits and outsource the article writing. So, it's almost completely passive at this point. It does take a while to get to this place, 2-3 years from ground zero.

I think that the most true way is a passive of money google adsense. But if you can reach a high rank in google affiliate niche a site very well.
    Thanks

I make mid ~$6,000/mo in passive money (pretty much on autopilot). A lot more in not passive money

It's been like that for a while - however I won't tell you how I'm doing it because I want it to stay passive!

I don't think people should even aim for "passive income" tbo. Because what I have stumbled upon now I never intended to be a passive income... although it is pretty darn close. When I got into it initially I thought it would be a ton of work, and it was, but now it is nothing like that.

What I do is lead generation for small businesses, but I don't sell leads individually. I collect 10% commission on sold jobs. It took me about 3 months to set up, and again all this happened by accident. Initially I was trying to generate leads for my own web design business. But I became more obsessed with generating leads than building websites.

It got to the point where I was having more leads come in than I could deal with. I know shit about outsourcing, and I wouldn't call it a real problem, but it was very distracting. Just imagine you're sitting down everyday building websites, and you have these leads coming in that you're not doing anything with.

I thought about selling them on WF, then decided 2 weeks later theres not enough money in that. So I started testing my copy to produce home improvement leads, and it worked just as well. The thing now is some of these jobs sell for $10-$20,000, since I make 10% for doing virtually no work, I'm making what I made with web design in 1/100th the time.

I am not skilled to the point where I'm generating truck loads of leads every week, its usually only 2-3 that wind up selling (ironically I was getting a MUCH better conversion for web design), but its still much better money. Closest thing to passive I've ever seen in my life. Thats why I recommend you screw clickbank, screw amazon, screw seo & ppc, if you can generate solid leads with classified sites and facebook, you'll be set.

Its an art that takes some time to master, but god am I happy I stuck with it. My goal now is to scale things up as much as possible... and I can't even imagine what the near future is going to look like. Theres been a lot of ups and downs, lots of personal stuff going on this last week, but financially things keep getting better. The more efficiently I generate leads, and the better I get at working with businesses (I've had to lose a few because their salesmen were horrible), the more and more $ I will make, the less time, and this is not really a system I've heard about anywhere. All I focus on is CL and Facebook.

FIND YOUR OWN purpose in life. Screw what everyone else tells you do. Thats my honest advice.

I get my passive income from my affiliate websites. I give a step by step method to my freelancer and he does all the hard work.

Some of the methods are in the eBook in my signature.

    1) How do you do it? Adsense? Amazon?Ebooks? What Niche? (services aren't passive, don't count!)

    I implement PPD/ClickBank/WSO's etc...

    2) How long did it take you, and is it pretty steady? How long has it been steady?

It tooks me about 3 years to get to where I am now, now I'm taking home over $3,000 a month, which includes my sales and the PPD.

    3) Is it on autopilot?

I'm glad to say that most of my earnings are on autopilot yes, I don't have to put a lot of work into the PPD, the rest I spend time on of course, in all honesty I make enough from the PPD alone, the rest I do just to keep myself busy each day mostly.

    Cheers

I've been fortunate as I have literally stepped away from the online world for the last year (had my 2nd child and life got too busy) and still seen my AdSense earnings grow.. hitting $4000 for the first time ever in one month. I don't have the best CTR either but overall, very pleased. It's motivated me to get back in the game.. doing a complete site overhaul and releasing some new products soon to see what I can accomplish in the coming year when I really put my mind to it.

I encourage everyone to just focus on the goal.. and keep moving towards it. It can be done and I believe that anyone can do it.

Well the majority of my income is through residual income. Guess you can call that passive since I can do absolutely nothing and still make money.

My favorite income source is through network marketing. You work your butt off in the beginning for very little money and later you work very little for a lot of money.

Not everyone likes or is cutout for network marketing, but I like it. It works for me.

Judging from some of the posts here, I think somebody has got to show some people what passive income really means. There are only a few people who have achieve true passive income and sadly they have very little time in forums.

Passive income is OK in the short term, but it doesn't tend to last much longer that a year or so.

I've made passive income in the past with youtube, ranking niche sites and twitter, but eventually something somewhere will change and you lose all your traffic.

This is why your core focus should always be building an email list.

What sucks is that once you build an email list you are forever obligated to keep producing content and promotions to them. Yes, I understand this is where most of the money is. But No, this is not a Muse/automated type of business. It is one promotion after another and you may lose interest in the topic as I did.

I guess one of the best ways to have really passive income is to build a ton of high quality sites that rank well, promoting solid products that remain for a long time. Also promoting membership sites.
