How and Where To Niche Niche Ezines and Other Publishers

Hello,
Bit formal just to start with.
I am publishing a blog in the gambling and gambling system niche.
I would really appreciate some of the valued information the members here would have about where to find these publishers and the best way to approach them as I would like them to publish my work.
I also do post in article directories but I want to build up a list of publishers of ezines, blogs, and more that I write for as well.

I say again, where is the best place, or way (for free if possible, both of the options) to find these people and then the best way to approach them?
Thank you for your help.

Since you're in a really difficult niche, it's going to be harder to promote your blog (most ad opportunities are closed to you). I tried the obvious - doing a Google search using gambling +ezine (or +newsletter), but came up with very little. However, when I typed in "how to play blackjack" I came up with a lot more hits. It will require some research - but go through the results and look for possible opportunities. Obviously, you would do the same with other gambling games (poker, keno, etc. - whatever is specific to the topics you write about).

    Good luck!

Most just starting out in syndicating content beyond just passively posting to directories make an understandable mistake. They fixate on outlets within their niche and they look for ways to promote a product or 'drive traffic' in the article.

For niches like yours, I'd recommend what I call the 'pebble in the pond' technique.

If you drop a pebble into a still pond, what do you get? Rings that emanate from the point of impact and spread in ever-widening circles.

In this case, your market is the center and your product is the pebble. Look for ways to connect with people who gamble and who might be interested in a systematic way of wagering. MyiMall gave you one ring - people who want to learn how to play a game. Another ring might deal with the different venues for gambling - Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Indian casinos, cruise ships, etc.

Look for ezines, blogs, websites, etc. dealing with one of the 'ring' topics. Let's say it's playing blackjack in Las Vegas, and you've located several travel agents promoting trips to Las Vegas. I would write an article on, say, the difference between playing blackjack on the strip and off. Then, in the resource box, you offer a way to introduce a little science in order to put the odds in your favor at [your landing page]. Or maybe an article on how to work the house for comps, or table etiquette. Whatever.

In other words, you look for markets which attract the same people you want to attract. You find people already communicating with those people. You offer valuable content that enhances their visitors' experience, followed by a way to extend the good experience you just gave them (your resource box).

Just because you might have a hard time finding outlets in your niche doesn't mean there aren't a lot of places to get your content seen by targeted people.

Don't "think outside the box." Pretend the sumbitch doesn't exist.

    To all that replied,

Thank you for all the advice, I shall follow up on it and let you know how it goes on.
Be patient though, I am on my own doing all this research and writing, but I will get back to you.
    Once again thank you.
