How long Did It Take You to Succeed Online?

Hello guys, i know that there are numerous persons out there that have been doing IM now for quite some time with little to no good returns on their investment(s) and are on the verge of giving up.

With that said i am pretty sure that it took some of us here quite a while before good money was been made online. In an effort to show others that all is not lost after a few attempts i would like to hear from some persons that had to wait over 3 long years before good money was been made online.

How Long?

For me it was about 8 years. But was I really trying throughout those 8 years? When I look back, no, not really. I thought I was at the time but I wasn't.

When I finally pulled my finger out and got down to work, it only took a month or two for success to happen.

Yeah it tends to happen faster when you do the work. I had to take all I learned in 5 years to start making some good money. For the first 5 years I was "trying". Now I do. I am not rich by any means, but I am making consistent good money now.

For me it was 3 months to start making my first $ (thanks to all the distractions, scams and fake gurus out there).

After I went through all the distractions and focused on just building my business, it took me just 3 months to make a high 3 figures monthly income.

Then 3 more months to make a steady 4 figures monthly income.

Now I'm aiming for 5 figures monthly income as well as growing my business.

That's just my personal experience. I know many people who are struggling greatly in the IM world but my message is: Don't Give Up. Forget about making that one shot deal and concentrate on building and growing your business.

since I returned to IM in June 2012 I've made the following and keep in mind I still haven't opened any business yet, but that should happen this week. maybe, I will return and give everyone an update as to how the week goes.

      June 60 bucks
      July 100 bucks
August 0 - so called gurus started sending out like 10 wso's per day after folks from my list purchased from them, this meant that no one actually purchased WSO's this month from me.
September I expect to be a good month, but it all depends on the work I put into my projects. I can tell you this much, I'm ready and Excited.

It shouldn't take more than a couple of months to bring in something, a living wage means you are going to need to put in some work at least to get things rolling.

      Hope this helps,
      Walter Parrish

How much were you able to make (monthly income wise) after this 3 months of hard work?

It's different for everyone...don't give up. It took me about 8 months to a year to get a stable $12,000 per month. but I believe I chose one of the slowest methods to get noticed too.

@nasuryono, I know exactly what you mean...the first couple of months I was paying out more than I was bringing in!! It takes a little while to get the grasp of what you are doing in the IM world...and I still don't know it all.

My story is no different. I tried different things at beginning, jumping from one thing to another. I didn't made much in my first year, however I was busy with college stuff too. My 2nd innings was much better, I was more clear and determined than before. I tried out few things and when I got my first sale, I just scaled those methods and worked on that were giving me higher returns.

At the moment what works best for me, review sites and YouTube. Good passive income. Then I went into list building and product creation once I perfect my earlier system.

Don't give up. Find a good working method and stick to it. Do simple things because making money is not hard.

I start make money online after 2 months. It is not easy to break the "zero" dollar. After you make your first sales and break the zero, more sales. I spent at least 3 hour everyday to work on IM. My passion and determination diving me to work on.

I've never made a dime doing IM but have done exceptionally well with startups and raising venture money...

Having said that, the first deal I did took about 9 months from concept to seed funding. Once you get the first one rolling and show people you aren't a total dope the rest of them go much more quickly.

2 Years to make over $100/day, 4 years to make over $4000/day, coming up to the nine year mark and still hitting seven figures each year. When I first started out I wasn't looking in the right spots, didn't have the right information, but once I was able to put everything together it clicked for me. I've trained quite a few people and have mentored others, and what I'll tell you is it's all about having a plan of attack. I've got guys starting out with 6 tiny months expirence in IM making pennies, once I get through to them almost all are doing $500/days.

It took me about 1.5 year to earn my first $. I've read stories of people who took 4-5 years to reach this point and some did it in under 2-3 months.

So it depends upon you how serious and focused you are towards making money online. Just stay away from scams and fake gurus and keep your focus on one particular method. As stumbling here and there and trying everything out there won't let you make anything.

3 months full-time (80 hrs plus per week) to make my first sale.

6 months full-time to reach my first $100.

1 year to reach my first $1000.

Soon after that I was making $1000 per month, then $1000 per week an on and on.

I can tell you a thing or two about persistence though lol.

Working that long to make a couple hundred is a tough road to hoe, very impressive stick-to-it-ness. I've always felt like if I couldn't raise at least a seed round of $200k+ after 6 months ($600k post money valuation) I flush the company.

Ditto, even in none online marketing, especially to get decent business, or getting someone to stock your product, persistence is one of the most important aspects.

My experience is do not think you will make money with IM without putting in time and persisting. I had one blog and made almost nothing, now I broke it up into three blogs specializing in a direction and feeding them to my older site, 200% increase in 1 week, but 4 hours work a day, while having a family and working full time (next year I will no more work for a boss, I will be free)!!!

Well my first touch with IM was on 2003 ,I had my own offline business and was looking to register a domain name and design website for my store ..It was funny ..I remember the old design of warriorforum and members of that 2003 ..I remember mike filsaime and his emails blowing me out..I was total newbie..I decided to learn HTML,photoshop,PHP ..

I think when you decide to consider your online blog or website as a business and you are not just in it for the fun, wasting your time and money surfing the internet..so when you make your first 1k, you got taken seriously by your family and friends

So to answer to your question,it take me about 5 years (from 2003 o 2008) to decide and to take action ..

I think you cannot give a straight single answer, as it depends so much on so many aspects like:
    motivation
    time
    involvement
how hard you work on it
    how good you are

    and maybe more...

We start earn money online after only two months. It's not necessarily easy to break the "zero" greenback. After a person make your current first product sales and separate the zero, more product sales. I spent no less than 3 hour or so everyday to operate on I AM. My enthusiasm and dedication diving me to operate on.

It depends on how you define success. Personally, my start was rocky (as with everything, I guess). One would have the same experience when that person doesn't really know the first thing about IM.

I just took small steps forward and it took me about 2 years to really settle in and gain ground. I guess, that's all it takes: take small steps at a time (as a start).

It took me about 3-4 months after discovering IM. I took an old site I had operated as a hobby for many years, upgraded-monetized it. After a bit of success, I started creating other sites and freelancing several of my skills. I haven't looked back since.

1 years, but no more than 1k/month. Maybe a while longer, ya I need more time to pave the way, and generate 4 figures or even more /month.

It took me a bit longer than 3 years. Man I think I have bought all the courses online from the $7 products to the $2997 coaching programs.

My biggest challenge was that I thougth I needed to do everything perfect. Unconsciously I was so afraid to launch a product or coaching's program and that nobody would like it. Untill I got myself a good coach and beginning 2012 I began to make money. In less than 6,5 months I made more than $60000..

Oh and not to forget about the dept I created in those 3,5 years..

My advice: get a good coach, make sure you have 3 or 4 people who can help you and who are willing to take you to the next level. And do be afraid to (fail)..To know what works, you need to learn and experience what doesn't work.

      Cheers,

      Amin

I think you and I got hit with the same stick.

That was part of my problem to. Doing everything like I would expect a million dollar company to do, not realizing it was just me and that customers dont care how many hundreds of dollars I paid for a logo... lol. So funny now.
