Are separate "buyer" lists essential for all niches?

My thoughts, the first question I would ask is are you tracking your emails? Do you know how many people are clicking on your affiliate link? And of those clicking do you know how many are buying?

The reason those questions to me are important is, you have an email list, and lets say you have 1500 on that list. Out of those 1500, 500 actually opened the email, then 100 clicked the affiliate link and 20 went to the sales page, and out of those 20 only 2 bought the product.

If you are not tracking the clicks with in your email then how do you know that the product you are promoting is grabbing your readers attention. The problem may not be that you have only 2 buyers on your list, it maybe that the product you are promoting is a terrible product and people just dont want it.

If you have been tracking your emails and know the stats instead of moving people onto a new list send out an email promoting your new email series. If you have a valuable list and have been giving great advice, tips, and how to's then you will have no problem getting subscribers to your new list. If you start moving people over to a new list they may feel ?mislead? wondering why they are on a new email series, and feel that because they did not sign up for that new list, they unsubscribe from it and your other list.
