Are Product Launches full of hype and promise with IM?

Hey

I was wondering if anyone has experience of doing product launches recently in IM niche .I have heard people say that launches are a thing of the past and continuity programs are the way to go. Can you share your opinion as i feel launches are over hyped in the IM niche, any thoughts?

thanks

Mark

When is a product ever launched without hype? Prime example: the upcoming NFL season. They're pimping that like there is no tomorrow .

Take one look at the WSO forum where you have literally a dozen new products launching every day of the week. Then tell me launches are a thing of the past. Maybe the old school hyped up launches that go on for a few weeks are no longer as effective but that's not to say all launches are not effective.

Besides, how is one suppose to release a product without launching. Either way you are releasing the product so building some hype around that launch can only ever help the situation.

Don't believe anyone that said "something is a thing of the past." Heck, I fell for this trap so many times. The funny thing is I found email marketing still works, banner advertising still works and even Google still works!

Now product launches are just tool to help you sell your product. How you use it will depend on you. Use it correctly, it can build a great relationship with customers. Use it wrongly, you'll create the assumption of hype in the market.

Bottom line is, it's not the tool, but the user.

What is hype to one person is not to another ,in my opinion there’s nothing wrong with "hype" ,as is what any business is about..and we all can distinguish between selling and over hyping.

The question here is how to sell something without using all that horrible “hype” that some Internet marketers use .People rush into buying BS product with all sort of promises and hypes, however they simply don't buy a good product if the salescopy did not have any hype in it !!

Excessive pitching can damage relationships between you and your customers,It will be worst if the product is inferior, or the customer support is bad.

Instead of hype , good “sales copy” works if you could convince people to buy what you sell ,it’s about giving value before asking people to buy something.

This is because many people are lazy and procrastinate, so they end up forgetting to cancel or just not want to go through the process of cancelling.

But you still need to launch your product. Product launches will be around. Ask Apple how their product launches are going.

Even that video game Madden 13 sole 900k copies in it's first 30 hours -most games sold ever that fast for them.

Launches will never die out. Especially if you find someone with a decent sized e-mail list relevant to your target audience. There are million or even multi-million dollar product launch days from the Gurus who get a hold of friends or other e-mail marketers with a large e-mail list.

Getting people to look at your product you need to add some hype and they will buy it. If it's not seen or heard of how will they know it is there.

thanks everyone for your kind comments, looks like launches are the ticket. Yes there is still lots of hype in IM with launches as lots of people still do them but they can be very profitable and life changing

Big product launches always come with big hype. It works because big launches generally target newbies who are more susceptible to hype because they're just starting out and everything is new.
