Can anyone direct me in the direction of how to create a squeeze page? I have no clue how to even begin to make one that is effective.

Before you have your squeeze page up.
    You need to have:
    1) Domain
    2) Hosting
    3) AutoResponder
    4) NVU (free software with basic function to create squeeze)

Auto responder would be something like Aweber - an email client for marketing to leads via email.

NVU is basically a free web editing software (well basically it's just an editor that can be used to create websites).

I use it (well, I use KomPozer [Mac Version]) all the time to create squeeze pages, just throw on a catchy headline, image or video and then your opt-in code and your good to go.

No need to spend money on those flashy squeeze pages, a plain blank white background a little bit of text and an opt-in for is all I've ever used and I've always seen positive results.

That depends on the quality you want. XD

Seriously though, a squeeze page consists usually of an annoyingly long and drawn out video, and an e-mail opt in. There are plenty of plugins and software that can auto generate these for you out there. I don't personally use any because I have a good grasp on basic web development (HTML/CSS).

There's a lot of details left out here though, because you need to have a product (whether it's your own or someone else's), you need to have a market (knowing who your target audience is so you're capturing the hungry sheep's emails and not random people) and you need to have a method of obtaining traffic. Whether that method involves becoming an affiliate who pays people out, pay per click or what ever method you choose to use to get traffic, you need a business plan to make a successful squeeze page.

Well, I have a site that I just made, still new to the whole online thing. I made it and I am trying to learn how ot get traffic to the site in hopes of finding clients who need content.

I will be getting into affiliate marketing, so trying to learn how getting traffic and getting an email list works so I can do it. That way once I start making affiliate sites to promote products I can have a little better grasp on how it works. I am so stupid when it comes to making money online. I've only been a writer but want to make more money. Right now I only make about $300 a month which is good, but I just want to make more. I've been there for about 4 years. I thank everyone for their input! :-)

        This forum really is great!

I appreciate this question, as it is something that so many site owners face!

Here is a really good article that outlines what you should include when creating a landing page or squeeze: The Perfect Landing Page. Landing page examples and 12 tips - Smart Insights Digital Marketing Advice. It goes into great detail around the purpose, goals and structure.

IMO you should build it using html. By building it yourself you will learn how to do some basic html work, learn what makes a squeeze page convert, learn the ins and outs of cpanels.

It took me about 12 hours to build my first squeeze page with no previous HTML knowledge. Now, it would take me less than 2.

Everyone here is just recommending the design and layout elements to a squeeze page. All of that is pointless information unless you have something someone actually wants to give up their email for.

You could have the best looking squeeze page in the world, but if you don't have a good product or know how to convey the importance of your product... Then having a pretty looking 'optimized' squeeze page is pointless.

I have a related problem that I really need help with ... I have a HTML squeeze page already made, I already have my website set up with a theme I don't really want to change (graphene) but I don't know how to get my squeeze page to work (when someone leaves my site it pops up) I am sure that everyone is going to recommend optimize press (because they have already) but I don't really want to spend $100 on it. Anyone have any suggestions or help?

    Thanks in advance!!

You could use a professional solution, an individual squeeze page freelancer, or create one yourself on a plain white background, with a good headline, bullet points, and an opt-in form on your site. Some of my ugliest squeeze pages have pulled great conversions.

    1. Learn basic copywriting
    2. Use a technical-friendly theme like OptimizePress and follow
    the tutorials.

That's the easiest route I can think of for you.

    Hi Leeonna,

I am guessing from your post that you are new to squeeze pages and probably reasonably new to the IM space.

Your question relates to a couple of things.

First how to create a squeeze page and second how to build an effective squeeze page.

As other warriors have outlined if you are familiar with wordpress then optmizepress is a great place to start. It is $97 and you install it onto your site. They have great training videos that step your through everything and they also have a large number of different squeeze pages to choose from.

If you are unfamiliar with wordpress and don't have the money to invest in optimize press then you will need to build a squeeze page from a template or from scratch.

If you have no technical experience I would advise to go to fiverr and get somebody to create you a squeeze page. That way all you have to do it have the HTML template uploaded to your domain and hosting.

Now if you know a thing or two about HTML you can download NVU or Trellian Web page and you can import a template and make the changes yourself. They both have a visual editor that means you can make your amendments to the HTML without looking at any complicated code.

You can get plenty of great squeeze page templates from PLR sites.

Finally the question you ask about how to create an effective squeeze page. This comes down to how well you know your market. If you are aware of the hot buttons that irritate and motivate your target market you are a long way on the path to creating a great squeeze page. Obviously you need to test out your squeeze page and work out the conversions that you are achieving with your squeeze page. Google have a free tool that allows you to test out different squeeze pages and to focus on the one that is converting the best.

If you need any help let me know.

    There's a million different ways.

Why not get a free HTML editor and make your own from scratch?

Will be easy with the opt-in form
