I wonder If You Are Struggling With This Too

Hey Guys,

So I was looking at some wordpress templates and I noticed how professional some of them look, specially those made for offline businesses or for photography freelancers.

For example:

Lose Weight Fast with Diet and Exercise Plans

I tried to replicate that look with optimizepress and profitstheme and that was pretty much impossible, and I had business owners that looked at optimizepress and didn't like the look, they said that it was too spammy...

Do you think this too? That these templates are only for the Internet Marketing niche?

    I don't really get how a "theme" could look "spammy"!

    I would say that a professional looking website is a professional looking website, it really doesn't matter whether it's for an offline business or an online business.

      Hi,

      Well what I mean is what is ok for people that are promoting online programs is not ok for offline business owners, this is what a lot of business owners have told me.

      But yes maybe I am trying to use the wrong theme for the wrong purpose, even though I do want to create squeeze pages and sales pages the way they need to be designed for a local company just makes optimizepress and profitstheme the wrong themes to do it.

        I have gotten all of my offline business from them seeing what I was doing online via facebook and other social networks.

        There is definitely a way to look professional but I think you should do that for online things, also.

        ugh....just looking at that julian chick gives me the creeps....I don't know what it is about her..but damn....yikes man.

        Anyway, the theme is ok...but yeah depends on the niche too. I can create that same theme via php and knowing how to program. Or I can take an existing wp theme and go to editor and completely change it up...but I know how to program though.

        Most local biz owners just want more leads and customers....and I've found that having a lead capture page...in exchange for offering that person a free something....well those are what the customer wants.

    Local business owners are looking for clean cut themes. Not too many colors, not too much flashing. It gets tricky because they want it to be responsive (hover effects, sliders and such). This is where I think a lot of consultants go overboard. It's a fine line.

    Hey there,

    I don't think Optimise Press looks spammy, but from my experience o.p specialises in creating sales, squeeze pages and very basic blog pages.

    So if you want something outside of that then theres a bunch of great themes like Genesis and Thesis that are fully customisable themselves or by searching for some cool skins.
