How to create a simple Password protected page with SharePoint?

        I have a lot of knowledge about Sharepoint, so maybe I can help. What type of system are you running? Are you on MOSS or an older version? Exchange server with a company. Its really easy to password protect a document. You just upload and then edit and change settings to password protect. Or you can actually password protect the document so when they open it up on sharepoint, they get the little password box. You can also enable the check-in/checkout feature in Sharepoint so users have to actually checkout the doc. As far as password protecting the actual Sharepoint site, the only way I know how to do this is if you are the admin or superuser, you pick and chose users rights in your group such as whether they can view certain files, subfolders, and sections. This is under "settings". Hope that helps.
