Get Response PayPal Integration - anyone using it?

Anyone successfully using GetResponse PayPal integration? It used to work like a charm, adding buyers to my GetResponse autoresponders. But GR changed the setup a month or so ago and now I can't get it to work for anything. I've contacted customer support and tech support and have reviewed their documentation with them - I've set everything up correctly, so now they tell me it must be some other setting in my PayPal account, which I doubt. Curious to know if it's working correctly for anyone using the new documentation where you start by setting up IPN notifications in your PayPal profile. (Note: in true GR fashion, the documentation you get to if you search for "paypal integration" on their site is the OLD version.)

Any help appreciated - thanks!

Funny you should mention this. I just finished voicing a new tutorial for GR/Paypal integration. We've been working just as fast as we can to update all our documentation since the launch of the new GR interface, Social Analytics and Email Creator.

I'll PM you my email (since you only have 2 posts) and get the new step-by-step to you. If anyone else needs it, just PM me.

    Regards,
    jim

Hi Jim, wow, that would be terrific. I've relied on this feature so much in the past it has been tough to work around it. Thank you!

Update: still unable to troubleshoot this with Get Response. I am really curious to know if anyone is able to use GR's new documentation and successfully add PayPal buyers to GR autoresponders automatically.

The GR forums are closed to new posts so I can't ask there.

Here's a link to the updated documentation that GR tech support has once again assured me is accurate (sorry I don't have enough Warrior posts to be able to post a live link):

      support.getresponse.com/manuals/paypal-integration

Thanks to anyone out there who has had success (or not) using the new PayPal integration instructions and would be willing to let me know their experience!

Andrea and I connected about this and it does seem as if there's something odd going on with her Pay Pal account. So, it's a fair question to ask if anyone else has had any issues. If anyone else can provide some input that would be great. Thanks!

Andrea - you have my direct contact info. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with me.

    Regards,
    jim

    Hi Jim,

Sorry to get a little bit off topic but I really need to ask your opinion on this. I'm a member of GetResponse and is it true that you don't allow your subscribers to send more than twice a day and if they do they're at risk to get their account shut down?

      No Problem One!

Actually, we simply recommend you do not send more than 3-4 per day. Our compliance team will investigate such situations on a case by case basis, it's not an automatic shut down. Compliance will follow up with the user to help. This would simply be one flag of a potential problem with the account for us to look into.

If you have any concerns just contact support or PM me, skype or tweet me and I'll be happy to follow up with you personally.

      Regards,
      jim

Update on the status of GetResponse-PayPal integration issue:

Though PayPal support sent me a couple of updates to their documentation, I was never able to get it working. Tonight I spent some time "playing" with it and came up with a solution that works.

I don't know if it's just a lucky hack or if this is how GR designed the integration and just didn't document it fully...

If anyone would like a copy of my documentation, PM me with your email. No guarantees it will work for you, but when I tested it tonight (twice) everything worked perfectly.

well im having issues with getresponse's landing page creator working with paypal. The paypal button at the right side panel displays "no button"

when i contacted getresponse they asked me to contact paypal or do a google search on it to do an email link to paypal which i do not know what's the meaning of that. I tried google it, but there was no related results.

i'm still waiting for getresponse staff to get back to me on that. It would be great if they could google and send me the link instead since they know whats happening.

paypal doesn't respond to my email anyway.

      Hi Shyanz,

The best way for you to get the help you need would be to go to our support page http://support.getresponse.com and use the live chat feature to talk directly to our support team and ask about the link. I'm sure they can sort this out with you. PM me and let me know how it goes.

      Regards,

    Hi Mike,

I don't actually have the link. That's why I suggested Shyanz contact our support team via the link I posted. I'm sure they can help. Sorry about not having it.
