What do you think of this Membership site.

I had this idea about a Internet Marketing membership site. And i'm happy with my idea, but i'm unsure on the outcome of it. I'd like some input or review on it, or something before I start chucking money at a ppv campaign and stuff.
No affiliate link or anything like that gooroobusters.com
check it out and tell me what you think!

Following the link in your sig, I think it will quickly turn into a bunch of marketers launching banners at each other and nobody looking at them.

As they say in the Shark Tank, "I'm out."

I'm sorry, but neither was I inclined nor compelled to join. There was nothing that intrigued me enough or gave me any incentive to do so at all.

When I left the site, the question that was in my mind was, What did that have to do with guru's, let alone busting them.

    • Everyone is looking at different strategies to generate more traffic and hopefully sales, but as I have been researching the same strategy, you have to offer something of verified value to attract the best peoplem so look for a powerful incentive to use which everyone needs. I am using a new TURBOTALK TRANSLATOR program which everyone who markets internationally should need. It is real time translation, so you might want to add it to your site to generate interest for them to join your new site.

      Good luck,

In the spirit of being helpful but critical I have to say that the site is disappointing.

The toilet roll image gives off a cheap feel right away but more importantly there is no big promise that resonates with the market you are trying to target. You would be far better starting a blog, creating an audience and building trust. From there you can begin to gauge what your audience are looking for.

I encourage you to rethink this approach as it's unlikely to make you money.

I'd like to see some more detail on the page! I wouldn't can it out of hand, yet.

Also, watch those redundant apostrophes! Many, many business people are excellent with grammar and punctuation and spot unprofessionalism quickly.

JV's, Solo Ads, Ad Swaps, Affiliate's

Take out the apostrophes! JVs, Solo Ads, Ad Swaps, Affiliates

First of all why do you have Facebook like on your squeeze page? If the page was hosted on facebook pages I could understand it, but having it on a regular website will most likely harm you. Also I'll put some more effort into it and actually offer something instead of a membership to an unknown site.

I had the same thought as MissTerraK that there wasn't anything really relevant about guru's or guru busting.

My second thought is that what you are offering I can already get from the warrior forum, so I wouldn't really need to join your site.

So if that is true then my question would be, "what could you offer that the warrior forum is missing?"

Maybe specializing about one specific area of IM would be better, like a site specifically about how to improve your coversions, or a site all about paid traffic strategies.

My other thought is I think you could have a lot of fun with the concept of Guru Busting.

Think about how comedians can take things that are taboo, or politically incorrect, and make fun of them, make jokes about them. They turn that subject from something negative into something positive.

For example, comedians like Eddie Murphy and Richard Pryor took the "n" word and made jokes about it and turned it around.

Well the word "Guru" is starting to have a bad connotation. Guru busting could possibly seen as a negative thing, but how could you put a twist on it, and turn it around, make it fun, or make a joke about how people are always bashing guru's.

That would definately get people's attention because everyone is always bashing them and trying to position themselves as a non-guru especially in ad copy, so if you were to turn it around somehow, you would stand out from the crowd.
