Hey guys,

I thought this would be a good information post because I just spent the last 3 hours looking for a way to upgrade Camtasia to version 6 and pay using PayPal...

I looked at every reseller because Techsmith doesn't take PayPal. I even called them to ask if they know of any of their resellers who offer that option. They didn't so I had to look through their huge list of resellers.

So after a good chunk of the afternoon looking at all the resellers (man their is a lot) I found one in Germany that offers the upgrade and pay with PayPal.

You have to pay in Euros but right now the conversion rate is in your favor so you get it cheaper. (about $40 cheaper)

      Last time I checked it wasn't available but could very well be now however we can now take payments by phone through PayPal.

      On a side note Canadians can't even accept Google Check Out as a payment option.

        I am surprised you are not able to create credit cards through your paypal account. I can create a credit card that I can use once or many times online. It will generate everything. It also has a plugin for Firefox. I use these for continuity programs just in case they decide not to allow me to cancel when I want to.

    Yeah, just saw this in PayPal

    "The PayPal Debit Card is no longer available to PayPal Account holders in Canada."

    Although the ones who currently have them are able to keep them. Looks like I missed the boat!

      Mike, I don't think what I am using is a paypal debit card but a virtual credit card. You may want to recheck for that.

        "Is the PayPal Plus Credit Card available outside the U.S.?

        No. Only U.S. residents with a U.S. PayPal account can apply and be approved for the PayPal Plus Credit Card."

          That isn't it Mike. Look on the left side to see if you have the Paypal plugin.

            Nope it's not there... I Googled it and others were talking about it but it's not yet available in Canada. PayPal said it would be available before Christmas 2008 ... well that came and went

              That sucks Mike. I love it myself. I am using it for Adwords as well. That way I don't have to wait for funds to hit my bank account. I can sell my products through adwords and then keep building up campaigns when I find a successful one.
