How To Monitize 28,000+ 'Home & Garden' Facebook Page Fans?

Hi,

I've a hugely engaging bunch on a Facebook page I've created over a couple of years in the 'Home & Garden' niche.

How would you best go about starting to monitize it?

Would people be interested in buying regular solo ads and posts?

I'm already running competitions and having a T-Shirt designed.

Any thoughts appreciated especially if you have experience of monitizing Facebook Pages.

Regards,
Simon

Why don't you start a Home & Garden forum Simon? It would seem easy to get members to join since you already have 28,000+ targeted likes.

Build a separate list or at least give Facebook fans a platform outside of Facebook to communicate.

Why you don't promote some CPA offers to them?

    Hi,

I want to use this as a case study to generate $100,000.

The plan is to create a membership site outside Facebook with various levels of entry, BUT as a rough calculation I would need 835 out of the 28,000 on a $9.97/month subscription to achieve the $100,000.

Now, I've never attempted a membership site before, but I'm an expert at keeping fans/followers 'engaged' and interested.

I'd be grateful for any membership site advice, platforms to use etc and also feel free to contact me should you want to offer content for the inside of the membership site...happy to work with quality content suppliers.

Looing forward to hearing your thoughts on whether you think this is acheivable?

    Regards,
    Simon

      Simon,
I think the membership site idea is fabulous for your niche. People love to share ideas on gardening and to feel like they are part of a community is something that can open doors to other opportunities. I have monetized a Facebook fan page with 200K users (in another niche pertaining to sports) with T-Shirt sales, adsense, & ebay partner & other affiliate programs. It has worked decent at times, but it seems like it is harder and harder to make money.

Did you ever get going on your membership site? How is this going for you? I have a website in the same niche that has an email list of nearly 5K subscribers. We may can cross promote our products and services in some way if you like. I am going to start doing webinars soon promoting garden related products.

If nothing else, I may be interested in promoting to your facebook list. So PM me if you can give me some info on that. Thanks!

      Chris
