Hi Warriors. Following from a previous thread about which was the best blogging platform to use, I'm wondering if I can get some advice/links on which WordPress plugins I need to be using please.

I've been advised to install WP on my own domain/hosting account, however I'm not sure what plugins I should be using for my blog (reviewing and promoting products). Can you recommend what I need to maximize my SEO, be submitted to as many directories as possible, linked to social media resources etc etc so I can have my blog back-linked and ranked in Google as highly as possible. (Likewise, if there's something I need to add or submit or link to to create better back-linking to my site that isn't necessarily a "plugin", all and any advice would be much appreciated as I've not really used WP before and don't want to miss something that can make all the difference to my site getting well ranked or performing better).

Thanks in advance.

That is a good list. I am not crazy about the all in on SEO pack, but everybody seems to use it...
Theme selection is also important, it really depends on the purpose of your site. Woo Themes look pretty good, and thesis is good for SEO (though it might be over kill with the all in one seo pack).
If you want an auto blog, you can use wp-o-matic, or wp Robot, in conjunction with wp unique. However the effectiveness of auto blogs these days is debatable..

Really IMO i think it comes down to: Content, Design, Site load time, On site optimazation, and other seo efforts..

      But content is still king

There is a plugin called SEO Smart Links that will interlink keywords to your other articles for you in your blog. The search engines love it when you do that. And remember the more plugins you have the slower it will load so don't overdue it.

Have you considered using Review Plugin For Wordpress - Powerful Affiliate Software For Websites, sense you are doing reviews of products.

There are so many plugins out there and you definitely should not use them all since they can bog down and slow down your site. This will negatively impact your SEO rankings.

All in One SEO plugin is one that I absolutely endorse. If you want the complete list of plugins I use for each and every site I create, check out my free gift.
