    That is a good goal.......

Sounds like where I am at now but I still have a lot of work to do

But I also enjoy internet marketing which makes it a lot easier if you can actually say that and mean it.

To make enough money to buy a Lambo... After all, there aren't many 'regular' jobs that will give you the income for a supercar...

Beyond the Lambo - probably freedom.

The ability to have a night out, whenever I choose, and not have to drag myself out of bed the next morning.
Not having to answer to someone who most of the time is less intelligent than you are.
The ability to go to the gym, or shopping, or to eat, at any time of your choosing.

If you can make enough money to live comfortably and have this freedom, then life can't be bad.

Right now as i am just starting it would be to make just £230 per month.

Once i get to that a new goal will then take over so i do not think there is a actual ultimate goal as i will always strive for just that little bit more.

Well, this is the answer. Financial freedom. This definitely is the answer. We have seen our parents and our predecessors slaved themselves just to support their families. If you can achieve this on a semi-auto pilot method of work, that's the point in all of this efforts.

    Good question!

Ultimate goal... I think helping others get financially independent, creating new things and building wealth are the right answers (online and offline).

But at this point my goal is $7000/M.

BTW, my last one was $700/M. It looks like number 7 is my lucky one.

    Hey DotCombum,
there was another post today, a bit along the same line, so rather than retype my answer, I'll copy it from the other post.

I really will be interested to follow this thread, and people's motivations are generally kept a bit personal.

I expect most people that want to would fall into one of the following categories however I may very well be surprised:

    1) just looking for a little extra cash.. to help with the expenses etc.
    2) many want the freedon to work when they want, as in, not puching a clock
    3) many are looking for ways to brake out of economic boundaries imposed by geograhical location.. as in, little work in a particular location, or very low wages in a particular location, and by working online they can go beyond the norm in their area.
    4) some people are a bit less socially oriented, so feel more comfortable doing their own thing from home
    5) many like the idea of being there own boss
    6) some like the idea of getting paid exactly what they deserve for their accomplishments.. I think working online does that, and jobs, very often don't, other than sales jobs.
    7) in person, many people are victims of some type of discrimination, whether based on race, sex, age.. virtually anything.. Online Marketing generally levels the playing field.

In my particular case, it's a combination of the charge I personally get from helping others, and the freedom and income I've attained, after breaking away from the corporate world for many years.

I think most people will say they that making money as much as possible is their ultimate goal in im.

For me, my ultimate goal in internet marketing is to build digital start-up just like: facebook, google, etc with the niche I am the best of.
Digital start-up is also part of internet marketing because it uses internet as media to live and run its lifecycle. Making money could be simply finding a method which works and also could be die in the future we won't know. Therefore, for getting recurring income, we need to build a right business model. In this case, digital start-up is a great concept to build satisfy this situation.

I think everybody who gets involved in IM is looking for some recurring income to either substitute what they may be earning in their current job or they are looking to create new earning opportunities. There is a misconception out there that IM is a fast way to make money. It is not. However like any other job, by learning your trade it can create exciting opportunities to make a recurring income that can make you happy.

My goal is to transition from freelance work, primarily developing products for some of the top Internet Marketers (don't ask who... NDAs in place), and to start launching my own products. Did a couple of JVs with some of my clients, and man was it something to see 6 figures fly into our account in a matter of days with order notifications inundating my inbox every few seconds as our affiliates pounded their lists. But 6 figures less commissions, less contest prizes, less merchant fees, less customer service and support fees, less AWS fees, less refunds, and then splitting what was left over (and you don't do a 50/50 split with someone who has a list with 300,000 subscribers and can get 50 other guys with even bigger lists to promote)... isn't 6 figures anymore... still a nice payday though . I need to do more product launches, build my own list, and make the switch. I've had a taste of it, and there's nothing like it. It's a very exciting business to be in, and after seeing what these guys are making by selling the products I've developed vs. what I can charge to develop them... as generous as they've been... there's no comparison. I'm planning to do the first launch of my own later this fall as soon as I get a couple of big freelance projects dealt with and have the time to devote to developing the product and sales materials. I can't wait! If I do one launch every quarter, I'll be making a pretty good living and working much shorter hours... which of course is the ultimate goal. I enjoy what I do now... freelance work... but I'd also like to have the time to enjoy other things too.

Too have financial freedom so that I don't have to wake up at the crack of dawn to sit traffic for an hour, to go to a job I hate, but went to school for, and unnecessary meetings with people that think that they're way more important than they are, just to get a check twice a month to pay my bills and my obscene student loan payment, and barely have enough to enjoy 2 mini vacations a year that I'd only get 10 measly vacation days a year for anyway.

I rather work for myself. I don't mind working, but on my own terms. I love flexibility and having a boss that thinks he's better than other humans is for the birds, lol! Been there, done that, never going back if I can help it!

I want passive income for lots of reasons including being able to travel anywhere, whenever I want, and of course as long as I have my computer I can work too and if you love what you do you don't mind working as much.

I also want to help other people that don't want to have to have to wake up at the crack of dawn to sit traffic for an hour to go to a job they hate, but went to school for, and unnecessary meetings with people that think that they're way more important than they are, just to get a check twice a month to pay bills and obscene student loan bills and barely have enough to enjoy 2 mini vacations a year that they only get 10 measly vacation days a year for anyway.... because I know how that feels..... corporate america was overrated IMHO

I take more of an offense to the people that just want to be rich so they can waste their life away on pointless BS and mindless self indulgence.

Even if you got all the money in the world, if you live like that then you'll amount to nothing and leave nothing. Sure, I like to party hard as much as the next guy, but that is just a tiny part of the wealth equation...too many people think that is the whole equation.

Agreed, some people just aren't ready to have that kind of money. It's almost like putting a sex deprived man in a room full of horny women, they'd probably all end up pregnant after some time lol.

If its their money and they earned it then it's really no one else's business what way they want to live their life. How can you take offence to people wanting to spend THEIR money a certain way? That effing funny man.

I'd love to hear what your own goals are mate. You just seem to be ranting off at everyone else goals because they are oh so more selfish than yours.

The arrogance of people to assume that someone will just blow all their money because they don't want to live like someone else. We don't know their story of why they want to live a certain way. If you make it it's your right to spend it in anyway you want whether I agree or disagree. It is your life not mine.

Note: If you are in your 20's you have a Greater chance to make all of your dreams come true because you have youth, health, energy, and, time (fingers crossed). Maybe not a given, but, the older you get the less time you get to achieve all things and maintain health while doing it.

You mean there's a good reason to put up with the ribbing about my age from certain people on here ?

You don't have to hide, just admit it and you'll feel better.
      What's wrong with doing both?

By helping people you certainly can earn money in your business.

Look at department stores for instance. They help people by having many different departments so one doesn't have to run all over town, wasting time and gas. Yes, they're in business to earn, but also to help people.

Why does just about every business run sales? To help people afford the things they carry and to draw more people to their business in hopes of gaining some new customers as well as the potential of everyone who comes for the sale item will also pick up other items, for more profit.

Helping people and earning money go hand in hand.

It totally confounds me that some people think it has to be one or the other. And that some people ridicule those who want to help people.:confused:

To get enough money for a Ford Mustang! No just kidding, money is primordial for me, but I love helping people, so maybe IM is my way to help people and make a living a the same time.

I would like to quit my day job to be my own boss and the only way I see it happen is through internet, making a steady income every month and after that my internet business will help me to focus on things I am really passionate about.

I want to be free, of course, but not free as in "i dont know what to do today, maybe i will just sleep all day and in the evening drink a whole bottle of gray goose or maybe i will get up now, set a fire to the monet picture and watch it burn while making diner in the morning" but free to do things I am dreaming about for years and wasn't able to because I didn't have time/resources.

So yeah, my ultimate goal is to change my lifestyle.

My goal is to not have to work till the day I die, as many will be in many parts of the world (especially in the US, while they are transported out of their work place in a stretcher.) Then help as many people as I can.

I'd like to be able to work until I'll be able to type and read but in my own profitable business and do things interesting for me and other people. Interesting and challenging tasks support your brain even when you are 95+. Sleeping all day long and doing nothing can ruin your life even if you are 30.

So my goal is to build something which supports me in different life situations from different perspectives (money, self-respect, networking, challenge, motivation etc.).
