I've had an Amazon Site Offer

Afternoon from the UK warriors.

I recently stumbled across a deal involving my services in exchange for 3 ready made amazon websites. Now I'm no expert by any means, but I'd like a little more information on Amazon websites, what they do, how exactly they work and whether you think Im getting a good deal.

My side of the situation is that, I'll be part of the UK branch of a company, making sales of websites and forums and in return I get 3 readily made fresh amazon websites.

The influence im under right now, is that an Amazon Niche website, is a website that reviews or illustrates a particular niche of item that is for sale on the amazon website - the idea then is to get as much traffic to the page as possible, then make sales of the particular item from plugins on the page.

If Im wrong then please fire away and give me some advice.

Im just wondering what actually is the convertability of these kinds of things? I mean surely their are pages out their for virtually every product and if their isn't what kind of person is really going to sit and search for a product and find my particular website then take the time to read the review etc - just seems a little far fetched in my opinion - certainly converting sales to that would be a lot of work and barely worth the time and fees.

Anyway, just looking for some advice so please dont take my head off.
Im on Skype if anyone wants to feel free to pop over and talk through things.

I'd say its quite important that the sites are earning. If they are not earning, they wouldn't be worth much more than $25-$50 a piece. Depending on how much content, if its unique or not.

If its just an auto amazon site, then I would say the value is almost nil.

Check out my blog GenuineOnlineMarketing.com where I talk about building Amazon and Adsense Niche Websites.

Over 800 Amazon Reviews for $1 - No way?

What if the sites are earning nothing to begin with and the work is all down to me from their do you think that then it is still a good option? I mean I suppose having 3 websites in your possession can't really go wrong and I could always get them monetized to be making money by someone from this website.

Don't touch it with a very long barge pole. Anyone can build an Amazon site. It costs $10 per domain and some hosting.

Take a long, hard look at what you will be expected to sell to your unsuspecting customers. I'll take bets that it is over-hyped and over-priced and you will quickly find yourself with loads of unhappy customers on your hands. That's assuming, of course, that you are "lucky" enough to get any.

If you don't have the skills to spot a con and don't understand what an Amazon site is, then steer well away until you have learnt more about the IM business.

Im selling wordpress sites and forums to other customers. I dont have to make a sale to get this 3 websites delivered and sorted to myself directed so effectively im losing out on absolutely nothing at the moment. It wont cost me a penny and anything I do sell I still get a 15% share - it doesn't seem like a big gamble to me personally at the moment, but like I said Im no expert.

Amazon sites are a dime a dozen. Just look in Complete Sites for Sale section. Unless they are already very strong earners, they will be getting your services for very little effort.

Like I said, they're a dime a dozen. If you want Amazon sites that earn nothing, you can get them for peanuts.

Yes, what most everyone is saying is true, most Amazon websites do not do well unless you put some work into the content, if you can provide a truly exceptionally useful and valuable service that will get that website visitor to click on your button and buy that thing...

Otherwise its not worth a lot, it is worth something of course, depending on what you have done with it, but if your using an auto poster, (what do you really have?)

Its all about the real deal, if you have a winner why sell it?

If its a looser, who would want to buy it?

Sounds like you've made up your mind, regardless of how much we warn you.

I haven't made my mind up on anything Im just laying out the pro's and cons of the situation. Lets face it here, Im not actually doing anything, im not spending any money and Im not being forced into doing anything I dont want to, in return I can get 3 ranked Amazon websites - on the downside I dont no if they will be worth anything or even if they are going to be making any kind of money. That being said on the upside I've seen plenty of Warriors on the forum posting how they have 100's of Amazon websites that make them a small fortune per month with little no work.

Im also in talks with a member from WF who can take any clean Amazon site and convert it to to a money maker for a small price.

I dont know if you got sites or not at this stage but... what i want to warn you or advise you its quite simple.

1st) you need to create good content about the products you are willing to sell, normally create reviews of those products. Its required to be unique reviews that will have a very good detail of the product. For this is quite time consuming or you can buy the reviews from some writer, but the question will be does that writer has enough skills to create an unique review that goes into detail, lets say a 3000 - 5000 words review... hummm it will be expensive and probably the writer cannot reach with the desired detail, unless you have the luck of the writer to know that product very well.

2nd) Promoting the site.... this is a tricky one, you need to promote your site so you can have traffic to reach you website or else none will know you. The time that will take to promote your website... can be HUGE!!!! sure you can outsource someone to do your SEO, but the good and most professional ones are quite expensive

      3) point 1 and 2 should be done continuously nonstop, so i must admit this need to be done if you have lots of free time or need to outsource about everything.... If you are really dedicated to this project you will probably have SUCCESS , maybe you wont get millions from this... but will start with a couple of dollars weekly up to a few hundreds.... and if you really have Huge Organic traffic that like your website and content probably you can get a few Ks of dollars.... but in the end this is not an easy ride.

Take a look at the Amazon Commissions Scheme: 4%-8% not much, you will need volume.

Then you need to analyze the ROI of this project.

My advise will be, think wisely... in the end there is no free lunches.

      Regards,
      Morg

Little or no work!!! Dream on. I have experience with amazon sites and if they are review sites they DO require work.

Well basically you need to create reviews of products that amazon sells or else why should they from your site?
