$0 to $100,000/year with a Facebook Fan Page - CASESTUDY

Hello,

I have a Facebook Fan page with 28,000+ fans - a hugely engaging bunch. I've nutured them for well over 12 months.

I've run competitions, contests, had T-Shirts and mugs designed, mouse mats etc...so they all feel a sense of 'belonging'.

I now want to use this as a case study to generate $100,000.

The plan is to create a membership site outside Facebook with various levels of entry, BUT as a rough calculation I would need 835 out of the 28,000 on a $9.97/month subscription to achieve the $100,000.

Now, I've never attempted a membership site before, but I'm an expert at keeping fans/followers 'engaged' and interested.

I'd be grateful for any membership site advice, platforms to use etc and also feel free to contact me should you want to offer content for the inside of the membership site...happy to work with quality content suppliers.

I plan to document all the help and advice I receive and keep a journal and step-by-step notes of what I do along the way...from start to finish [this post being the starting point]

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on whether you think this is acheivable?

Regards,
Simon

I don't see why not. If they are buying those mugs, shirts, etc. then they must be fairly passionate and have credit cards.

I think the toughest thing would be figuring out what you can give them every month to make them want to stay.

It is really nice to having such a huge fan following. As I am not expert but there are ready made softwares available to create the membership sites.

And I agree with Justine about

Just a quick heads up: The "follow me" details should be posted somewhere else. We don't allow these sort of project journals as ongoing things in the discussion areas.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled chaos...
