Got my site up and running!

Hey guys, didn't know where I could put this on the forum, but I am super excited for getting my site up.

NOTE: There are affiliate links and other promotional things, but I am posting it to ask for any pointers.

Right now it's in the rough stages, I've gotten a few articles up in the last couple of days and really just focusing on content.

Ctrl-Alt-Success

Any advice would be appreciated!

    Congrats. I used the same theme from ET on my site too.

    I'd put some images in the home page slider. Only the first one has a featured image.
    The footer: there is some blank space.

    Here are my initial impressions:

    - The top part is a little dark.
    - I do like the theme though, need a little color.
    - Logo is nice, but the black keyboard on the black background is hard to spot.

    Looks nice just needs some graphic design work.

    Even for those people that have been around for a while, the design of your site seems good enough for a starter.

    Anyway, I am not sure if you are allowed to show your website here, but I can tell you I personally like it.

    Let's just wait for some more opinions.

      Congratulations on getting your site up!

      Personally, I like it. It's simple and clean. I agree with Greedy about the logo, and also would add that there is a bit too much space at the bottom. Other than that, good job.

      Thanks guys,

      Yeah I was thinking about revisiting the logo and maybe adding a lighter color glow to it. I'll check out the footer and the blank space.

      ET definitely has some impressive themes, I really enjoy them.

      And yeah the main feature area is lacking because it's going to be primarily used for products I'm promoting as opposed to articles. Every article has been SEO optimized to the extreme while still retaining a quality read.

      Would there be any color schemes you'd recommend?

    I really like the look of it. Has a great feel, has integrity, and the ethos of being there to help people is great to work with.

    Only thing I'd constructively criticise, is I personally would change the text above your opt-in box. Be more specific, what's the e-book about, who's it for? (E.G. Simple CPA strategies for newbies, or Advanced SEO techniques) you get the idea.

      Thanks a lot for that man. And I'm so glad you said that about the opt-in box. For some reason I thought I already put that information in there. haha

      Gonna change it soon.

      For some reason I can't adjust the footer size to be smaller. I've tried adding a few widgets to it but it's just not working. (le sigh)

    I'll be the first one to say a site is crap, or if it makes me want to hit the back button upon entering...

    Your site made me want to stay and read. Looks like a good start. Just make sure your articles are top quality and are just extremely engaging while being informative (informative =/= enjoyable to read). Check the posts of my blog if you want to get a sense of how to write engaging articles.

      Thanks! When I read the first sentence I was like...crap... haha

      All of the articles that I submit are hand written by me. I don't even know how to use article spinners or what not, nor do I want to. Any article I post I intend to write it in a way that speaks to a newbie.

      Granted, I'm not a marketing guru or genius so the articles I write aren't going to be compelling to a seasoned veteran, but I really do hope I engage my readers and hopefully result in opt-ins for a future newsletter.
