      • Sign up to the above freelancing sites and start applying for jobs.

Look at what the person hiring wants to pay and offer your services for free / a lot less than they want to pay.

Explain in the application that you are very keen to get started on your career as a freelancer and that you to do everything possible to make sure they are 100% happy with your work.

Create a great application to go with it and you will start being given jobs to do.

Make sure that you go above and beyond whats asked and they will leave great feedback for you. They may even come to you first next time they are hiring.

Once you have started building feedback you can start charging more.

I am always looking for freelancers and the next task I get i'll give you a try.

Get signed up to odesk and I'll give you a shout in a few days when I need something doing.

If you do a good job I'll give you a great review

Can you code? Can you program? Do you have any...odd talents that might get you started on a Fiverr gig? Honestly, if you don't have a skill to offer as a service you aren't going to be freelancing.

As others have said, you need to work out what you CAN do and everyone does have some skills. Then we might be able to suggest options for you.
Whatever you do, it won't be easy in the beginning so don't think you can simply say what you want and then make loads of cash.

No skills. Even restaurants won't hire me.

Please suggest WHAT skills are marketable for freelancing. Besides writing, graphics, web design because I'm not the creative type.

Come on man, are you kidding?

        Who really has NO SKILLS?

You must be at least average at something.

People pay people to copy and paste stuff from one place to another.
People pay people to write articles
People pay people to offer IT support

You can make money doing any of them or you can learn how to seo and sell sell seo services

What about singing? acting gigs, cooking, whatever you're good at. Then take that interest, build an authority site around it, and create a platform to build a tribe following of readers, then build your own products or sell other affiliate products using your site - or better yet, advertise your freelancing gigs on it, to go back to your freelancing model.

I'm skeptical as to the sincerity of your post, but I'll bite. Everyone has abilities and skills (that are legal ) that other people would be willing to pay for. Make a list of these things. Create a page demonstrating these abilities, like a portfolio of sorts to show people how competent you are. Then advertise! Let people know that you are available for hire. Network and connect with people. The money will come!

If you honestly feel you don't have any skills that's of value to anyone, make a list of things you're interested in that you know could make you money and learn how to do those things. Always read, learn, and apply that knowledge.

If you want an idea of what type of work people are looking for online, check out sites like Odesk, eLance, Guru, and Freelancer.

      Good luck!

This! ^ ^ ^ At bare minimum you could do data entry. As long as you can read and type you're good to go. The idea is to take action and take action now. You never know where it will lead to.

If you have no skills, rather than freelancing... you might consider getting your own reality show. If you have any skills whatsoever.... you're typing in English and you call yourself "carlosthemexican"... English/Spanish bilingual? Can you translate? If so, you can find work. Try eLance, and see if you can find any work translating documents, or websites, etc.

  • Hell you don't have to know how to do anything to make a fulltime income online! The number one skill you need is to learn how to find a problem and then find a solution to that problem. Example! Bob needs a website, well joe is a web designer and need works so you focus on becoming the middle man. You make money for putting things together.

I'd suggest doing backlink building or data entry work. Or even editing Word documents.

You MUST have some skills right? What did you learn at school?

Very good! Being quick witted is a talent. So you have something going for you. It also means you can learn new skills. Just because you can't do something now doesn't mean you couldn't learn if you apply yourself. It's not that difficult to learn a new skill when you put your mind to it.

Here's what I've gathered from the 4 big freelance sites.

From ODESK I narrowed down my interest to

    -Administrative Support
    -Customer Service
    -Sales & Marketing
    -Business Services
    -Internet Research

And from GURU.com I realized those belong to the "Business" category and that I lack propensity towards "Technology" and "Creative Arts" categories.

And from ELANCE I learned that the most popular skillset in the market for me are Admins, Marketers, and Consultants.

And from FREELANCER, I learned I could probably start with

    -Advertising
    -Sales
    -Bulk Marketing
    -Data Entry
    -Research
    -Web Search
    -Excel
    -Data Mining
    -Reviews
    -Product Descriptions
    -Leads
    -Proofreading
    -Virtual Assistant
    -Internet Marketing
    -Marketing
    -Data Processing
    -Copy Typing
    -eBay

The easiest way to start freelancing is to discover what type of work you enjoy. Then, increase your skills in the interested field through necessary training and study if you need. If you think it is easy to start with Data Entry jobs, measure your knowledge on some office software like MS Word, Excel etc. Remember, nothing is easier when it involves competitions.

Everyone has skills! There has to be something that you are good at doing even if you don't have experience doing it. Go to oDesk and look around on the jobs that are needed there. I bet you can find something.

Best way to get started is to know your skills then search for a place to market them. oDesk and Outsource Factor are good places to start. If you don't exactly know what skills you have then maybe you could figure it out then take a few tests on oDesk or Brainbench.
