Does it cost money to publish a product on clickbank?

Do they still charge the $50 fee to be a vendor and publish a product, or not?

Clickbank is the most expensive payment processor I know of.

It will cost you 7.5% of your revenue for one time purchases and 9% for recurring plus $1 per transaction.

This is about 3x what it will cost you to sell using your own paypal or merchant account which generally will run you only 2-3% + $.30 per transaction.

Right, but paypal doesn't do affiliates.

Clickbank is automated income if you recruit affiliates well & properly.

I think what he ment is instead of using clickbank as your affiliate system you can use your own system and paypal as the payment processor together which you can conjoin together.

However the fact still remains that having your product in clickbank itself will mean you get alot more affiliates and initial trust in being paid on time and securely aswell, or even being paid at all if your an affiliate.

Personally i feel the $50 fee is minimal espeically seeing as you will be spending $100's on a design and sales copy etc for your product if you arnt already paying anything for the general creation of your product too.

    Something extra to consider...

The figures Josh rightly posted above won't always show the whole
picture, as it can also depend on the context ClickBank (or a similar type
    of service) is used in...

If you use ClickBank because of their affiliate system for example, then
much of the extra fee could be offset in relation to time saved on
administration duties you'd otherwise have to do or have done.

Not disputing the raw figures you understand - just pointing out that there
are sometimes circumstances where more money on the surface can be
offset by other advantages (or disadvantages) underneath (e.g through
    time and taxation issues).

Note: this is not written to advocate one system over another -
every one will have pluses and minuses depending on what you want
to achieve with it. That's why it can be a good move to use more than
    one

    Best,
    Adam
