aweber 'confirmation' status - I'm confused

Hi,

I've set up a new List in aweber and have set it to single optin. I also have defined a custom thankyou page.

I've noticed that in my subscribers list that there are a couple of subscribers that have 'Confirmation' set where the email number should be.

I don't understand why the confirmation status is there as I've defined the list to be single opt in.

Anyone know what is happening?

    First of all, you can't make a list single optin once it has been used. So if you already had subscribers on that list you can't then change it to single optin.

    Second of all, assuming this WAS a new list and single optin has been set, there are still some email addresses that Aweber will ALWAYS ask to confirm regardless of whether you have single or double optin selected.

    Even if you have single optin selected there are certain email addresses that are ALWAYS going to have to confirm, regardless.

    This will also be the case if you are trying to submit the form various times from the same IP address.
